BIOGRAPHY

Asia Abernathy-Lovegood is a Harry Potter fan-character who is a major character in Silens I: The Silent Trio fan-series. She is the adoptive daughter of Luna Lovegood and the best friend of both Tom and Lucas Malfoy.

PERSONALITY

At the start of the series, she had a sassy but quiet attitude. Towards the middle, she has a more serious and happy persona. She does not like to see people hurt and would rather be hurt in their place. She is loyal, frequently questioning Tom and Lucas's choices in regard for their safety, and tends to stick around them. She hates gossip but is frequently the subject of it, being a powerful witch despite her age.

APPEARANCE

Asia has hime-cut black hair that reaches her shoulders. Her eyes are an unusual yellow. Her native country is Japan. She was short during her early years but had a sudden spurt during her early teens. She is thin but has a well-built and well-endowed form.

ABILITES

Asia, at a young age, got a Debate Award against a Ministry official. She has extraordinary powers and began training as a witch unofficially at ae 8, officially at age 10. She can cast many spells, and her only flaw is the fact that she doesn't know any curses, only hexes, jinxs, and useful or odd spells.

Chapter 11 (Struggling with Emotions, with Identity, and with Who to Trust.)

Stop, don't say a word. Just keep moving, they won't know what's wrong if you never let them.

Just keep running. If they can't keep up, they'll never, ever see your true hurt.

They'll never know if you hide behind books, if you keep working so hard you never have to see them again.

Just move.

Don't tell them the truth. They'll never accept you. You may have told someone the truth- but that was only half the truth, the part they wouldn't judge you so harshly about.

Everyone has problems. Don't let them see yours.

Chapter 13 (Memory of Her Abuse Back In the Orphanage; Struggle with Reality.)

The world was shaky, everything was loud. And I felt nothing but pain.

Chapter 17 Pt2 (Feeling of Loss; Feeling of Leading a Fake Life)

I fall like a cherry blossom in spring.

emotions, fake and real.

Chapter 21 ( "Blood is My Reason", How Protecting Others from Death Is Her Reason For Living)

Blood is an odd color, almost black but not quite, in it's least common form.

It comes from the oddest places, and sometimes those different places warrant different colors of the blood. Maybe black, or very light red if the cut is light. If you press too hard, or you cut yourself accidently, and it's deep, the blood comes together in a stream.

I've seen too much blood. It's all in my dreams. Everyone dies in my dreams.

Because I'm the center of it all, covered with it. With blood. But not because it was at my hand they died, but because I live, they died.

I would do anything to save them.

And that's why I'm here, I guess. That's my "why".

To save others from myself.

Chapter 29pt2 (How the World is Full of Negativity)

The world is full of negativity.

Negativity is a big word, as it holds a lot of meaning.

Bad actions, bad words, bad people...

I am that very embodiment of negativity,

because all I see in my future

is destruction.

BTW, no, I am not depressed. I write these at a different POV of life. It's one of my strong points as a storyteller: telling stories from different points of view, with different characters, and different emotions. My characters tend to be tragic, so I'm going to try and make some more positive characters! LOL.

ASIA ABERNATHY-LOVEGOOD OC QUESTIONS (PART 2 OF OC QUESTIONS)

1. Say it's your OC's birthday: what type of party would s/he like the most and what type of party would s/he despise?

Asia would enjoy a party that is a full-blown wizarding party, but wouldn't mind a Muggle one despite her dislike of them. She would like a party complete with popping balloons and cat-centered talismans, but isn't selfish, so she frequently shares her birthday with people as if it was theirs as well. It's not uncommon for her to also give people gifts of her own on her birthday.

2. What is your OC's fave and least fave season? (and why?)

Asia loves winter, which is her fave season, because of the beauty of snow. Snow, in her mind, is like a symbol of being able to preserve-- snow covers the plants, but underneath they are still alive. However, she dislikes summer only because of how hot it is; spring and fall are neutral in terms of if she likes them or not.

3. Fave and least fave type of music? (and why?)

Asia listens to music in her free time while she studies. She enjoys hard rock, dance, classical, and emo pop. Her tastes in music seems contrary to her personality. She also enjoys listening to and reading the sheet music made by Tom (unbeknownst to him?) and Lucas. While she isn't jealous of their musical ability, she does wish she could play like them (though she has no interest in learning). Her least fave type of music is soft rock, but she's not sure why.

4. Fave and least fave genre of fiction/nonfiction? (and why?)

She likes nonfiction and the only fiction she has read is The Tales of Beetle the Bard , which her actual parents would read to her, but in a Japanese translation. She likes nonfiction history, and the only fiction she likes is historical fiction. Her least favorite genre is mystery because she thinks some of the stories are rushed and some don't allow her to try to solve the case before the detective. She enjoys comics and manga too, but not very often.

5. Fave and least fave color (and why)?

Asia likes dark and pastel colors. She does not like neon or light colors.

6. Fave and least fave childhood memory (and why/describe)?

Her least fave childhood memory was her time in the orphanage, while her fave was when she first learned how to ride a broom at the age of 9. Because she begged Luna to let her learn for years, it was a great achievement when she did. She would practice everyday, after she was done studying, for a few hours, no matter what the weather or season. When she was 10, she had managed to learn all the basic moves and went on to learn advanced moves by the age of 15.

7. What does your OC look for in a friend?

Asia looks for whoever needs a friend, then decides by their traits if she wants them as a friend or not. For example, when she met Tom she decided to be his friend because she knew the secret about him and his brother, and she wanted to protect it. She looks for loyalty and genuine interest in others, which is why she became friends with Lucas, besides the fact that she wanted to help out Lucas when Tom wouldn't. She also looks for kindness and smarts, but she is easily annoyed by people who think they're brilliant or by people who are full of themselves.

8. What does s/he look for in a wife/husband?

Asia looks for kindness, humor, and loyalty in a possible husband. She really didn't start dating until much later in her Hogwarts life, though she had thoughts about who she'd like to spend the rest of her life with. A possible person for her to date in the book is actually Lucas.

9. Any special powers?

Dark magic (inherited from her deceased parents) , normal magic, and being able to turn into a cat. Her booksmarts rival those of her peers but aren't considered "powers".

10. What is your OC's fave and least fave food (and why)?

Asia like Japanese food and European food as well as some American and Spanish food. Her least favorite foods are Italian.

11. How do other people view your OC?

Others view Asia as sorta superior schoolwise. Friends view her as a friend, of course. No one has any hard feelings towards her at this point of the story.

12. What is your OC fave animal (their spirit animal)?

Cats every day.

13. When is your OC's birthday?

She was born at midnight of the last day of December. Technically she was born at the start of the year, but she celebrates it on New Years only when she can't on the last day of December.

14. What was your OC's birth like (describe key points, like where, how, what weather, etc)?

Asia was born in Japan in the Mahou ("magic, witchcraft") mansion. In fact, her birth name, Ajia ("Asia") Mahou comes from this mansion. It was a cold wintry day at this time, and her mother gave birth to her prematurely. Her mother survived the ordeal and Asia's parents raised her for 2 years before they died.

15. Your OC's fave activities?

Winter sports, Quidditch, studying, hanging out with friends, etc.

ASIA ABERNATHY-LOVEGOOD OC QUESTIONS (PART 1 OF OC QUESTIONS)

1. Does s/he play an instrument (and is s/he good at it)?

Asia has a very, very good singing voice but she hardly uses it, she almost sorta hides it. She sings when she thinks no one is there and only in the presence of her mum, Luna Lovegood.

2. What is his/her personality and defining character traits (not appearance, but personality)?

Asia is quite serious and somewhat aloof. People often tease her, saying that 'she's off in her magical world again' because she frequently forgets when people are in front of her. This only happens when she's with her mother or very close friends, however, and that's why neither Tom or Lucas have seen this side of her yet (they will someday). She is a big prankster, but only a select few know this, because she is really good at hiding it. Also, only close friends get to see her witty sense of humor. However, she is sometimes very sweet (or tries to be) to everyone, but only to hide how much she hates/dislikes/is annoyed with them (she can have genuine love though, she's not cold-hearted!).

3. What is his/her appearance and defining physical trails (appearance)?

She has long Hime-cut hair with yellow eyes. She usually keeps her hair down but it is rare for people to see her fix it as curly, which she wears very well. Her main defining feature is her eyes, which seem to "pierce one into the deepest part of their soul" (the words of a Ministry Magic employee), though some say "is like a block of amber: you can't get in and emotion can't get out" (Daily Prophet reporter), meaning that her eyes seem to keep people out and her emotions in, all while appearing cold and hard. This is not a simile, it is actually one of her traits. Also, she has a scar on her throat and one on her stomach. The throat scar is from her orphanage days when a bully cut her, and the stomach one is from the same bully. She keeps these hidden, but it serves as a constant reminder to her.

4. What is his/her fashion sense?

Asia enjoys jackets, coats, scarves, etc, as her favorite season is winter. She likes dark colors, like black, dark grey, grey, dark blue, dark green, etc; she also likes soft, pastel colors like baby blue, dusty pink, etc. She doesn't like neon or overly bright colors, so she doesn't wear clothes like that. She is also very modest and hardly wears crop tops or anything like that. She likes cold-shoulder sweaters and ripped jeans though she doesn't see the purpose of them being ripped if they are to be worn in cold weather. She also shares Luna's peculiar fashion sense as well, but she hardly wears the odd things Luna does.

5. What are his/her character flaws?

Asia's flaws aren't apparent at first sight, but she does have some flaws, such as a short temper when it comes to mudbloods/muggleborns and a reluctance to teach people. She is quite good at teaching, however, but doesn't ever want to teach as a job. Instead, she wants to be an Auror, believe it or not, or even just a stay-at-home wife, though she thinks being an Auror is best for her, despite what others say.

6. What is a short overview of his/her past/history?

When she was 2 her parents died (they were Japanese purebloods), so she went to a muggle orphanage where she was picked on for most of her stay there. During this time, she discovered her two main sources of power (dark magic and normal magic) as well as her ability to turn into a cat. She used these to hide from the muggle bullies, one of which would constantly hurt her. When she was 4/5 Luna Lovegood adopted her. When Asia was 8, she won an award for a debate with a Ministry of Magic employee, then she got accepted as a Hogwarts student. Once in Hogwarts, she rose above everyone else booksmart-wise, even to the extent of taking and passing her N.E.W.T.S when she was only 14 years old.

7. Who would s/he save first (and in what order would s/he save the others): beloved parent, best friend, pet, complete stranger, baby?

Best friend, complete stranger, beloved parent, pet, baby. Asia would save Lucas, because she loves and thinks of him as a good friend and possibly even as a significant other. Asia would save a stranger after that. Though she loves Luna very much, Asia never exactly felt daughterly love for her. Asia thought of Luna as a parent, one she loved very, very much, but she knew Luna could save herself from anything, because Luna, in Asia's eyes, is invincible more or less. Then she would save a pet before a baby, which in it's own sense is wrong. Asia feels more connection with pets then most people (excluding friends and Luna).

8. Does s/he struggle with:

8.1: External conflict (AKA an injury like a twisted ankle or something more serious)? No. She does not have any external hinderances, though she can easily twist her ankles a lot because she's somewhat kinda sorta sporty.

8.2: Man VS Man conflict (such as trying to kill or find someone)? No, though she one day does want to find out the truth about her parents, but that's a side goal. She just really wants to help Tom and Lucas with their problem along with finding the mysterious man on the Hogwarts Express.

8.3: Internal conflict (such as mental illness)? Sorta kinda. She feels immense seclusion from people because of what she is.

9. Is s/he:

9.1: Completely original? X

9.2: A fan-character? Yes (Harry Potter).

9.3: A mascot? X

9.4: A representation of you? In more than a few ways she resembles me personality-wise, but not all.

10: What is his/her motives and goal?

Asia's goal is just to help Tom and Lucas at this point, though the trio's main goal (as a group) at this point is to find the mysterious man on the Hogwarts Express.

11. How does s/he treat friends?

Asia is very nice to her friends, but she could care less about some of them (aka Tom).

12. Nicknames?

No? At least not at this point.
