Nmixx just released their first full album, Blue Valentine!

Heads up: this is a discussion about the title track of the same name, Blue Valentine, not the album. I'll discuss about the album in a few minutes.

Intro - Not much to talk about, but it's good.

Verse 1 - Same as intro.

Prechorus 1 - WHERE THE CHAOS COMES IN! They didn't say "Nmixx" but that was clearly a change up. They've moved to the point where they don't even need to announce their change ups.

Chorus 1 - This sound really suits them. As absolutely always, Nmixx serve on vocals. It's amazing.

Verse 2 - Quite good. I like the beat!

Prechorus 2 - Like the first one but a little longer. I like Sullyoon's part!

Chorus 2 - Bae gets a chance to shine! As always, Haewon serves with vocals.

Bridge - Short but emotional.

Chorus 3 - The high notes just complete it! It sounds so good. Kyujin's ad-lib, in particular.

Outro - Short but SO GOOD. Especially the very last part.

MV - Very....interesting. Definitely expresses the album's concept of love and hate well.

Nmixx is the one group to take me out of my hiatus XD

SPINNIN' ON IT was like, Idk... perfect. Yeah, yeah. Perfect.

I'll just get this out of the way. An over 3:15 song is such a blessing in the K-pop industry today.

Also, the vocals ALL THROUGHOUT the song were spot-on.

Ngl, I played that song like 92276527222724 times right now. Okay 3 or 4 but it's the same thing.

First of all, Haewon's vocals in the first verse were so good. Not to mention she looked so stunning but we're focusing on the song, not the music video.

The first prechorus was so good with... what is it... that "bubbly" instrumental!!!

The chorus was just... It just felt "Nmixx". The first part (so done with love, so done with hurt) wasn't particularly good but catchy as hell it sure was. Then from then the vocals were so good, it got me HOOKED.

Then the second verse comes around. Kyujin never disappoints. The vocals. Haewon, too. Then Jiwoo came in with the talk-singing, just the thing to break the flow up. A different kind of Mixxpop.

Second prechorus is shorter than the first but Bae looks STUNNING.

THE CAKE FIGHT!!!

Same as last chorus mostly but then the cake fight? Like what?

Then the bridge. Hands down the best bridge Nmixx has, period. Even better than Break The Wall. Even better than Beat Beat. Even better than Love Me Like This.

Also, the bridge being only the three "worst" vocalists just goes to show how good singers Nmixx are.

The last chorus is a culmination of everything. At this point I was just feeling the rhythm. Completely engrossed.

And. The fact that this is a PRE-RELEASE makes me wonder how good the rest of the album is. Fun fact: this will be Nmixx's first album with member contributions on the lyrics! Lily on one song, Haewon on two.
