Blindsided: Review

Here's our first review in the Book Nook club!

Book: Blindsided by Priscilla Cummings

Natalie wanted a normal life. But when her eyesight got worse and worse, forcing her doctor to declare she would go blind, her parents agree it's time to send her to a school in Baltimore for the weekdays to help teach her skills she will need what the inevitable event happens. While she trys balance her life at home with her life at her new school, she makes some friends but still trys to fight against her eyesight, hoping the doctor was wrong. However- it happens. The world is gone. Natalie sees only grey. Now she throws herself into her studies, learning Braille and how to walk with a cane and navigate this now strange and scary world. But when tragedy strikes- can Natalie keep going?

Rating: 9 out of ten

Age Range: I would give this book to a 13 year old and up because there is some swearing and one part is a tad inappropriate. Otherwise, it's a lovely book! If you are younger than that and still want to read this book, have your parents read it first and then they can tell you if it's a good fit for you.

This book in three words... Eye-opening... Insightful... Thoughtful
