The Lottery?? IDk if this will go through bc it's kinda a dark short story but I got assigned it for he and I'm in 8th grade. It is really dark... SPOILERS LIE AHEAD!!

Basically there's this lottery but they don't tell you what the Lottery is for, and it takes place every year. they're basically really mysterious and as you read, it is just extremely offputting, starting with small signs that there is something very, very wrong, but then starting on page 4 ish their are HUGE clues you can't miss. it ends with one of the women 'winning' the lottery and getting stoned to death by the entire village, including her husband and children, one of which is a toddler. Overall, a dark, creepy, off-putting story. I would reccomend if you like this type of thing/if you are in the mood for something sad

We have to do book reports for school and I picked a wind in the door. So its like the sequel to a wrinkle in time ( which I didn't read, but I did watch the movie!). It has like dragons, blujery, condrias, and etc. So I was wondering if you have read it?
