Painful growing chest (Girls Only!)

I just started growing my chest a month ago but they’re growing really fast. Their about the size of an apple each and they throb and hurts if I touch it or when they move and it hurts in the sensitive area a lot, also the skin is very tight so it also hurts when they move because it pulls the skin. Also they rub against my shirt and sting. I don’t have a bra yet because I don’t want to ask but I think I will have to soon because it hurts. How can I make the pain better and has anyone had similar things and has it gotten better? If you grew this fast did it slow down and when?

GIRLS ONLY (Boys can look but its kinda disgusting for yall)

So I have my period and im going through puberty. Ya. norm. BUT I skipped like 3 mons on my period and it was like 3 1/2 late. I was kinda surprised abt that... ok anyway my body is changing and uhm.. my mom is like, "u dnt need a bra blah blah blah" EXCUSE ME, IF I DNT WEAR ONE, I HAVE LITTERAL ANT HILLS STICKING OUT OF MY SHIRT!!!

The boys dnt get clues of girls periods. Once, was taking a pad out of my bag and a boy, lets call him K, sees me. He giggles all so childish and looks back at his book. Im so embarrassed but I just go on with my day. Like the next day, K goes up to a table of girls and says, "Adi has smthg in her bag" and im just like, "They're girls idc if u tell them." and the girls EMEDIETLY knew what I was talking abt. Like, boys can be so immature. Its puberty. Ugh.

SOS,

Girls only (it’s extreme body stuff-u don’t wanna hear)

I have recently confessed that I’m only 10 years old so..just letting you know-but I’m scared for puberty and getting a period, so recently there has been hair on my private parts (not my breast or nipple, just the pee part) and I don’t know what that means but I think it has something to do with..

Also, i read this book about a girl who got her period in the middle of gym class, so what if my period happens at a weird time, what if I don’t have supplies? What supplies do I need? Pads? Tampons?

Also-will it be embarrassing for me to ask questions or talk about periods and puberty with my parents? Do periods hurt? How long does a period last? How many do women have in a lifetime?

What about bras? Is that a period or puberty thing? I have a shelf bra though. Why do I need one? What will it do? I’m scared, I heard that you bleed in ur period and u have to change clothes.

There are also these things called period cramps, what r those? Please help me by answering my questions, I’m scared.

Girls Only *Body Talk*

Hi Girls!

Today I wanted to just talk about puberty.

But, first......

Boys, now is your chance to leave. Same with if you’re under 9 or haven’t started puberty yet.

Okay! When I started puberty I has SO many questions! Luckily I had many people to ask, who kindly gave me answers. I wanted to give other girls the same opportunities. I’ll do a few of these as a series!

This weeks topic is breasts. Before you ask any questions I have a few things to just talk about for you.

Any age above 9 is an OKAY time to get breasts. Every girl gets them at different rates.

All women naturally get breasts so you don’t need to be embarrassed at all.

Ask a mom if you can about getting a bra once you get a breasts. If you can’t talk to at mom, talk to an aunt, female school counselor, or a women teacher.

If you are feeling scared or embarrassed about having breasts, the advice I’d give is to get a bra. They help to support you and make you more comfortable while exercising.

This was something I had to learn myself. Before you ask your mom (or women adult/caregiver) for a new bra, try it out! Wait a 2 weeks. If it REALLY hurts after 2 weeks discuss getting another one.

Girls only please (10 and up) Yep, I’m talking about bodies!!!

Boys please leave now. You’ll be happy later!

K now that weirdo boys are gone, I have a few questions.

So I haven’t had my period yet but I’m getting you know Breasts I’m pretty self conscious about it and I want to know more info about what kind of bra to get, and all. My mom offered today to get my first bra for me and I said okay but what should I think?

What you need to know

* I’m 9 years old (young to get breasts)

*My twin hasn’t started getting them yet

* I don’t want people to know I’m wearing a bra

* Yes, I’ve tried girls websites, they only stress me out more

What website should I try? Have advice?

GIRLS ONLY (seriously, boys, you DON’T want to know. We’ll be talking about breasts.)

Hey!! Had a few questions for ya...

Boys, don’t read any further. It’s gonna be graphic. Yeah, it’s about the b-word. Boobs. So, stop now and thank me later.

K. So now that we got rid of the creeps, my 4 questions:

1) I have budding breasts. I am 10 y.o. You know, that uncomfortable stage right after flatness where they jiggle and hurt at every little thing. You aren’t there yet? Oh, it’s fun. *sarcasm alert*

2) So many of my friends already got their period and I WANT TO HAVE IT SOON. And no, don’t answer this with a “oh, you don’t want it.” Or, “everyone grows at their own pace.” I just feel kinda left out and I REALLY want to grow.

3) I’m sorta getting curious bout babies...

4) Uh... boys. Like I mentioned before, I’m TEN. Yet I have so many crushes! Is it normal?? My mom started getting her first crushes at like 15, and my dad, well, I don’t really know about him. My mom also told me that I shouldn’t start dating and liking boys until I’m about 12/13 (she was apparently a late bloomer) but I think that I just have those fun, raging hormones that make you have those absolutely great (sarcasm, remember?) mood swings and huge crushes.

Thanks, girls! Boys, I’m disappointed in you guys. I told you not to read this. That might have just changed my mind in y’all. See ya.

GIRLS ONLY (seriously boys, it’s about bras, you don’t want to know)

Heyyy gals! This is not an official proper Sisterhood post as the blog is on hiatus for the moment, but I included the hashtags because you know whatever lol. This topic might make you uncomfortable, so if you haven’t hit puberty yet (or you’re a boy and you’ve clicked on this anyway despite the warning), click away!!! Seriously, you don’t want to know.

Today I did something I haven’t done in a long time... I didn’t wear a bra. (Disclaimer: I haven’t been ‘converted’ into a bra-less state of mind by today’s escapades. It hasn’t turned me into one of those hippie feminist lesbians that burn their bras and campaign ruthlessly for “boob freedom”. I’m not gonna tell you to stop wearing bras - heck, I’ll probably wake up and fling on my ordinary old bra as per usual.)

So we’ve got it clear, I’m not a hardcore feminist-hippie bra-blazing lesbian. Instead I’m a sort-of-hippie-feminist bisexual who will happily wear or not wear a bra. To be honest, it’s arrogant of me to be ranting about bras etc. when the only ones I own are greying cloth thingies that are basically just a tiny t-shirt. I’m nervous to even enter the Marks & Spencer’s lingerie department.

Anyway, I found it quite fun to not wear one. It was nice to feel free and not have a broken bra-strap buckle poking into my shoulder. It was quite odd as I’m used to having the support (admittedly there’s not much) that my sort-of-bras give me. I also discovered that when I was running I jiggled a bit (lol). It feels different, and it was quite nice to have a change from regular old bra-dom. I’m definitely not giving up bras completely, but I probably will not wear one all the time from now on.

I dare you to not wear a bra for a day, and see how you like it! Go on, I dare you! :)

PS. Amount of times I said “bra”: 14 XD
