I want to try gymnastics, track, and dance, and I wanna do cheer again next year.

I really want to be flexible to do gymnastics and dance, but ESPECIALLY for cheer so I can do a little better next time. Like I cant even do the splits help??

but I ALSO want to do track because I feel like stretching for flexibility will also help with my stamina :DD

actually ballet too maybe???? (I think u can see a pattern )

Hey!! So, I've got a quick question- what is the best way to clean my cheer shoes??

They are white with silky-like fabric (obviously it's not silk), more specifically the Chasse "Ace II" cheerleading shoes. They also have vinyl (?) for the toe/ sole, of which I have had no problem cleaning (with a toothbrush and whitening toothpaste!!).

The staining consists of dust, grime, red/brown mud, and that nasty black asphalt stuff that comes off of the track when the track is wet. They shoes look like they've been through WWIII -_-

Now, I've used hydrogen peroxide, bleach, "Dawn" dish soap, and carpet stain remover, and had some, but not much luck getting the asphalt and just grime out. Any other trick I can use to get my shoes cleaner before our first game next week??

Sorry I've been a little inactive lately- I've been ultra-mega busy lately!! I've got an update (not a particularly great one, but it's got a couple story times in it!! XD) coming soon, and I have a question...

Okay, so, I have this thing coming up for cheerleading on the seventh of July. It is a team visit to our teammate's lake house (woot woot!!). I did it last year, and it was SUPER fun!! I love my squad, and I really want to get to know the new girls better. Plus, this is one of those events that are like, you HAVE to be there (not really but like, in the social views). Also, did I mention I cheer with Tom's sister and his mom is our asst. coach?? Hmmm....

Unfortunately, the date wasn't set until last night, and now it is too late for me to apply for leave from work, as our schedules have already been set in stone. I work from mid-afternoon till 9-ish PM on the seventh. Not only do I just typically lifeguard that day, I also aide in swim lessons!!

Here are my options:

1. Miss out on lake day and go to work like a good employee.

2. Drop my shift and try to find someone else to cover it (Idk if I could do this because I'm an aide) and go to the lake!!

3. See if I can push my shift so it starts later and have someone cover for regular guarding, and rush home for lessons.

Okay guys, I really need help with this one!! Thanks!!

Hey heads up! I have an advice column up now, and I would love it if you guys ever wanted to ask any questions in there :)

So!! My update!!

So, first thing is boys. Ofc.

Things kinda got messy with Dustin. It's a LOT to type, so I'm not going to, but I'm pretty sure he likes another girl now (ish, Idk), but I'm not saying nothing could ever happen between us in the future!! As a result of this, I had been other crush/ bestie, Tom, a lot more (Dustin and I are still very close, but after what happened, I think he might be a little mad...) recently. One thing led to another, and, well Tom and I have been dating for about a month now!! In fact, I actually got my first kiss a few days ago with him... Yes, on the lips!! He and I ditch part of our last class (he is a T/A, I have P.E.) to hang out a lot, so we were messing around and sitting on the stairs in the (empty) hall. He Had made a joke about kissing me, and I had laughed and said I wouldn't mind (and I meant it ). He asked me if I was fr, so I said yes, and, well, he leaned over (he's very tall and I'm very short- about an 8 inch height difference) and kissed me!! It was very sweet and nice, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since!! I mean, we've held hands and hugged and he's kissed me on the cheek before, but this was different!! Oml I'm just dyingggggggg XDXDXD

So second thing- my chances of being accepted to fill the lifeguard position at my pool this summer are very high! I am in the final selection :D Woot woot!!

I also got made a half base, half flyer in cheer- I was dropped during a stunt on Friday. And broke my tailbone, no cap. I'm sitting in a stupid donut shaped pillow rn. oooooooooo.

Anyways, that's my rant, so, I hope ya'll have a great week!!

Hey ya'll! I've been gone for about a week, which is about as long as I have ever been inactive. Anyways, I hope all is well with you guys!!

So, a bunch has happened over the past week that I have been DYING to post! But ofc, I've been busy.

Am I a newspaper? 'Cause it's a new issue every day!!

Issue #1: Dustin

Well, a bunch has happened with Dustin. After school that day, he proceeded to call me to apologize, saying he felt so bad for what happened that day. We talked for a bit, life went on, and I guess he likes me! Yay! Ish. You'll see later why it's "ish" and I'm not already dating this guy. Anyways, so we've been texting, he's been pretty flirty in person and online. Life goes on.

Issue #2: New Cheer Coach and Season

Normally, I'm not worried about this, but lately, I am. Our cheer coach has left us with a new coach, one I secretly really don't like. She's making us replace our perfectly good uniforms with new ones! It's gonna be so hard for me to afford this- I got my uniforms half off because they were used for $200 or $300- new ones cost up to $700. We have to purchase new shirts and bows and all of that junk! Our stuff we used this year is fine! Not to mention, instead of our typical summer training starting and ending in August, it goes ALL. SUMMER. LONG. Aughhh! I'm just so frustrated! We even have to wear the same exact hairstyle during games!! This new coach is a freaking dictator :(

Issue #3: Work-Life-School Balance

With both cheer and lifeguarding this summer, I'm going to be so exhausted, and I'm worried! Lifeguarding is a high-stress job, and I must be alert at all times- I can't be sore and tired from practice all the time. Ofc, I'm gonna give it a shot, but I'm afraid I will be fired :( Not to mention, with cheer being more intense than last fall and winter, I'm nervous about my grades. Again, gonna give it a shot.

Issue #4: Tom

Tom is not just a friend. I'm conflicted. Very conflicted. Him and I have been texting everyday for 3 hours at least since about a week and a half ago. I figured (and he really does) he just has a flirty personality. We make jokes that we should date each other and that stuff; I really didn't think anything of it. So we were texting last night, and the topic got to love. He said no one has ever been in love with him, and I said "lol same tho." He proceeded to tell me that's not true- he new of at least two people who did like me. I said "wait, two?" Tom said Dustin, obviously. I asked him if it was him. So I called. When I asked again he just laughed nervously, and quickly changed topics to tell me about his Jimmy Johns meatball sandwich. He eventually gave in. He does. And I sorta like him back too, but I like Dustin also! They both are great guys, but I don't wanna lose either of them. If I didn't pick, I will lose them both. But if I do, what if it's the wrong choice? Another thing, Tom is a year and 8 months younger than me- kinda far off from Dustin's single 8 months. What am I supposed to do you guys!? There's two guys, and only one of me. I'm actually so confused and I feel awful. Please help!!

Soooo, I've been thinking....

Okay, so first things first- I go to a private school, and it's Pre K-12. There is two buildings on one campus, and 7th-12th grade is at one. Anyways, that is the one my brother and I go to- he is in 8th, I'm a freshman. Now, we have a couple middle school/ high school mixed classes- I have theater, which is one of them. My brother and I both have this class, and a couple of his friends that are his age (I'm the only highschooler RIP). Sooooo, here's the thing... I think- well, let me rephrase that- I have a crush on my younger brother's friend. Who is a year younger than me.

I'm so freaking embarressed.

This isn't his actual name, but we will call him Dustin. Dustin is super cute- I just totally fell in love with him, and I don't know why. Actually, I probably do. He's so cute I feel like I just melt when I see him oh my Lord He's got this eye-twitching/ wink thing, and at first I was like, "woah weird" (I never said anything though!) but now I just think it's adorable. I'm a simp. How did this happen? (My FYP on Tiktok thinks I'm a Wilbur simp lol why would it ever think that??)

My brother first introduced us at the homecoming football game last October. We kinda just cracked a couple of jokes with my brother, and then I had to go cheer. I never really saw him much after that- sometimes in the hall, but for some odd reason, it was rare. My bro would always tell me about all the hilarious things he, Dustin, and the bois had been doing in class.

So, now it's second semester. The three of us have theater now, and it is a BLAST. My brother, Dustin and I hang out all the time in that class, and ever since we've gotten to know each other better (including swapping some slightly, er, bad(?) secrets with eachother lol), I am just head over heels for him. I think he's got a great personality (actually that's what I noticed first about him), and hey, bonus points, he can play drums and guitar (Lord I love guitar)!

Okay, here's the catch- he's got a girlfriend. I feel so bad saying this, but I've met her, and I totally feel like I can top her- but, disclaimer! I would never, EVER steal another girl's dude! I would feel so bad :( She is his age, so that's another thing.

One day in theater, Dustin asked my bro if I liked him. Ofc, bro-code, my brother said "no."

Now, some plus sides! I've been saying he should come to a basketball, game, and he usually doesn't go, because they are usually away games, and no one wants to drive an hour, I guess. Anyways, last night, he finally came to one!! :D He drove (well, actually his older bruh did lol) four hours to go to a basketball game, in which he generally didn't do. He sat up in the bleachers for the first half, but when he saw and came up to me at half time, he moved to the first row. He always did the crowd cheers with me an watched me (that sounds creepy lollll) .We would just smile at eachother after the game :)

Anyways, you think I have a chance?? Idk, I feel like this is dumb. Should I go for it? Relationships between highschoolers an middleschoolers are strictly forbidden at my school (even though it would only be a year difference)... Anything? Any advice??

Basketball is going to state!!

I can't believe it! We beat a higher seed last night at our regionals game!! It was a final score of 47-50. They really had us in the first half, but we caught up, big time!!

Our boys are going to state this year! And us cheerleaders! Woot woot!! Wish them luck, and please pray that we can stay in the state tournament!! They have worked so incredibly hard this season.

The game is late at night on Wednesday. Go team!!

Okay, so I've got a bit of an issue, and I need halp (:p) ASAP!

Lol, where do I start? Okay, so, there is this BIG basketball game tomorrow evening, and it's this big competiton between my high school and another one. Anyways, so the student body (ASB) and the cheerleaders organized a sorta halftime dance routine for the game but for all the practices's's's's's I was super duper sick! So I couldn't go :( So I never learned the dance, and all cheerleaders were supposed to learn it. And then for the game we had uy these "spirit packs" with like costume pieces for our theme for the night (but then the Athletic Director bought one for me and now like great now I have to pay her back -_-). Anyways I didn't really wanna spend what little money I have on it, so I just decided to sit this game out. I have exams and studying to do anyways. And I was gonna go with my friend to the game, too. I promised her. But now, my other friend from cheer, is just pestering me about not doing the game! She has been calling me "quitter" and just being super rude 'bout it, cause I won't cheer. She said she would make sure I can't do crowd cheers or even go to the game in general, Honestly, I'm going anyways, like, "shut up, no one asked you." She's been acting super insecure and she's kinda clingy to me, and it's kinda getting obnoxious. I was trying to talk to my friend 'bout the game, and she just chimes in and starts saying all this ****. She's done it a few times this week.

ANYWAYS so that makes me wanna cheer with her even less. So now I had to let my coach know why I'm not going, and I said like "exams, studying, buncha stuff, etc..." and she asked if I will be at the game in general. I am, but I said "Idk." And now she's confused and asking me like, "Why won't you come? Just trying to understand!" Listen, I get it, but I don't wanna diss on any of the cheerleaders or cheer at the game. I just want them to leave me alone, tbh. I just wanna go watch with my friend. So like, what do I say back to my coach????

Heads up- this isn't 'bout boys or anything.

So today I walked into cheer practice, and started to stretch with a group of three girls (keep in mind our squad has 10 girls- today we were at 7), and we started talking about our upcoming playoff game, in which me, those three, and another girl were going to to cheer, and what uniform we're wearing, bows, car arrangement, blah blah blah... Our cheer captain isn't going, so our coach made our tiny group a democracy, saying no one was "in charge." This was mainly directed toward a girl who was not there- she was very bossy, and actually very rude and cruel. So, anyway, we started talking about how we would try and tell her how she wasn't in charge and our uniforms and such. So Friend #1 said that a teacher had said Cruel Girl would be the first kicked off the team- none of us really liked her, but I never really had any beef with her, so she was pretty tolerable. But then, the teacher paused and thought about her answer, correcting it to- wait for it- I would be the first kicked off the squad. I was, and am, heart-broken. My teamates/ friends said that was a strange thing to say- I have never said anything cruel or offensive at school!

I spent all two hours of practice distracted by the school authority figure's comment- my performance has improved tremendously, and I might even be a possible option for co-captain. I ( no offense at all to those other girls- they are so awesome :)) am also better than a few of the other girls (performance-wise), and have unbreakable team spirit and optimism! The only thing I can think of is: #1, my jumps aren't the best, but several other girls don't even try to attempt one. #2, I sometimes mess up on timing when it comes to cheers, but I have always been good at correcting myself, catching up, or slowing down. But, my confidence has been greatly shook :( Like I said, I have NEVER said anything rude (at this school, at least- I've really changed over the past few years) to her or anyone. Why would a TEACHER at a small, Christian private school say such a thing!?

This really hurt, you guys. It really did. :( Anyways, thanks for reading this.
