So I don't have to say that all the time.. Let's just call it: Darkness and the light. (Please ignore my bad naming skills, LOL if you have a suggestion please tell me.)

The day was August 5th, and Hunter Jackal thought he was doing everyone a favor, hanging up the lanterns. (We both know he wasn't, but he doesn't, so let's not be mean in knowing that he had the town's best interest at heart.)

His daughter, a little girl named Lona, was helping him set it up. She shivered in her night gown. Her dad looked at her.

"No need to be scared. The darkness isn't even a real thing." (at least he was right about that). "And soon it will be no more." I know you think that what he said is an extreme villain thing to say, but no villain really knows they are a villain, so really it is a super hero thing to say. I mean technically.If you weren't thinking that, I'm sorry for wasting your time. The girl wasn't convinced, as she was only five and could not yet see past the present. The present that was clouded in darkness that was suffocating them and yet also saving them. The dad hung up the last lantern, illuminating half of the town. Only poor Lona saw the tendrils creeping away into the darkness.

I'm going to Vermont for the first time!! You know what that means! No, not snow. Not skiing. A 5 HOUR CAR DRIVE. Uggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So I'm looking for any good books, preferably horror, thriller, murder mystery, etc. To read on the drive so I don't actually die of boredom. Some books I've read and liked before are Where He Can't Find You, and From Below, both by Darcy Coates. Any recomendations? Please and thank you!!

P.S. If I don't come back to kt for a few weeks it's cuz I died of boredom and it takes a sec for me to respawn

Title!! Me, honestly probably people who are attention seeking and think they are better than everyone else. I have this one friend (Mel, u might know who I'm talking about) who is nice and good like, 50% of the time, but the other half the time she is always trying to show off. She does makeup and reads a lot so she always tries to use big words to impress people but SHE USES THEM IN THE WRONG WAY!! Like, what?? ANd when I correct her she looks at me condescendingly, kinda scoffs, and tries to tell me that I'm wrong. And when I calmly say, no, I am not wrong, and give her proof, she gets all worked up and says stuff like "Fine, it was just a mistake no need to make a big deal about it you always make such a big deal of my flaws"and so I'm just like wateverrrr. BUT SHE DOES THAT SAME THING!! Like, whenever I make a typo she corrects me and copies and pastes a google article of the latin roots of the word, claiming she wrote it herself, but when I paste it into google, lo and behold, an article pops up with the exact same wording. Coincidence? I think not. She also sings and has a medium-low voice, but she sings songs in a key she thinks is the right key and because its lower she thinks it sounds flattering to her voice, but she always sings SO LOUD and OVER AND OVER AGAIN and honestly the sound of her voice makes me want to rip off my own ears but I don't say that obviously I don't want to hurt her feelings. When she asks if she sounds good I say yeah, so then she thinks shes better than me so when i just start quietly humming a song she corrects me on notes, when BY THE WAY, the notes that she says are wrong ARE RIGHT!!! Okokokokok this is long but im almost done i swear. One other thing is small, but drives me ABSOLUTELY INSANE. When she orders food she brings her voice down like 3 octaves. SHE NEVER TALKS LIKE THAT. Shes just attention seeking -_-

I am scared of my dad he's always passive-aggressive / physically abusive. I get so much anxiety when he's near me. I don't know what to do and my mom does not care either, I've tried CPS and they've done nothing about the situation. I came to my friend's house and we hung out until 9 pm my dad knocked on the door so I answered and he was so aggressive towards me and my friend noticed it. I'm so scared. My mom treats me the same way she threatens me and it's getting worse and worse.

Introduction

Velkommen to the 1st page of your Nordic journey. My name is Carly and I wrote this book to educate kids and teens about Nordic culture. I love anything Scandinavian, so why not write a book about this beautiful part of the world?

I started writing this book when I was 13 years old in August of 2023 with the help of my reading teacher I spent a lot of time researching information about the Nordic countries for this book.

In this book, You will learn everything about the Nordic countries, From the Vikings and the Northern Lights to IKEA and Nordic languages.

Have confidence

It's easy for others to target you when you are lacking in self-confidence.

Confidence has to come from within, so do whatever it takes to make you feel better about yourself.

2. Be assertive

You express your wants, needs, while respecting the other person. Use “I”, rather than “you”.

For eg. “You never ask for my opinion ”, say it like.. “I feel ignored when you make decisions without me”.

3. Learn to say No

If you tend to be a “yes” person who never wants to let anyone down, you risk becoming a door-mat who everyone walks all over and takes advantage of.

Don't put someone else's needs above your own-learn to say no when necessary.

4. Speak up

Sometimes you may fail, because you cannot articulate what needs to be said at the right moment. So, practice standing up for yourself.

Sometimes it's not good to ignore or be okay with anything said to you, they will repeat it until you take a stand and speak.
