so apparently this week is the week all of my teachers decided to assign summatives! and i was absent most of the week! which is great for me. so i have to write an essay this weekend AND study for an algebra test AND do missing work from biology. i can probs finish my essay during advisory monday (as long as i do most of it over the weekend) and study a bit during lunch or something bc im NOTTT passing that test im so cooked. i also just??? did not do anything monday apparently??? i literally dont remember monday its like a fog in my head so. yeah. im genuinely cooked chat i am going to be stressed this weekend. i've been meaning to hang out with my friend charley sometime soon bc i havent rlly talked to her since halloween cuz ive been busy with school and i feel rlly bad abt that but i guess im waiting until thanksgiving break!!! which is in like 5 days so i mean its not that bad.

also we dont even get the whole week off for break we still have to go monday and tuesday ughhh. and then finals are from december 17th-19th and im not passing those either bro... i missed like half of the semester... i feel like i should be exempt???? but idk we'll find out. and then from dec 22- jan 2 we have winter break, and then from jan 5-7 we dont have school for some reason..... i only gotta wait like a month to have time for myself guys this is great. thats probably when im gonna try to get my community service hours done so like! yeah. i actually might not have free time. we'll find out. i'm already gonna be doing something around thanksgiving for that so maybe i'll actually have free time during my break.

i have to do 40 community service hours in the entirety of highschool (like all of the years combined) to graduate and im planning to do like??? 10 hours per year??? i think that's probably the best plan bc then i wont rush to do them during senior year. plus i could probably do some stuff at the library if there arent too many kids already volunteering there, and the library is like a rlly close walk from my school, plus i have 3 friends (theyre all brothers.....) i could walk there with, i'll probably go with e (my childhood best friend) and do them with him as long as he gets permission from his mom. i think he will as long as he gets permission from his mom and one of his brothers comes with. i think we'll have to wait until like spring-ish tho bc my mom doesnt want me walking out in the cold bc then i might get sick again.

ok that was probably rlly boring to read but its fineeee. my goal so far has been to make at least 2 posts a day, and they all have to be like longer than 1 paragraph or else im LAMEEEE. ok bye

whenever i'm working, i find it really hard to focus. i used to listen to lyrical music, so i stopped and now i have a non-lyrical work playlist, but it only helps part of the time. i often end up distracted picking at my hands, lost in a train of thought, or spacing out, and i have no idea what to do to stop it.

Bro... I can't with this teacher. HE DRIVES ME ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!

HE ASSIGNED US 2 BIG PACKETS ON FRIDAY AS WELL AS LIKE, A BUNCH OF VIDEOS AND QUIZZES THAT ARE DUE ON MONDAY BEFORE OUR PROGRESS CHECK (progress checks are basically unit tests). AND LIKE, 4 CHAPTERS OUT OF OUR TEXTBOOK. Like bro, thanks for making my life AWFUL. It's currently 3:49 A.M. on a Monday as I'm typing this :^)

Like, babes, I also have homework and studying FOR ALL MY OTHER CLASSES, TOO, YK. That chemistry homework isn't gonna solve itself. And OMG, I am falling behind in PreCalc. AGAIN (only by like and assignment or two and he doesn't do late grades, thank GOD) trying to keep up in Mr. AP Gov.'s class.

And like, Idk which source to study from primarily. The book? The videos? His lectures usually divulge into something opinionated rather than actually teaching me. Like, don't get me wrong, I agree with some of the things he's saying, but like, THIS ISN'T REALLY RELATED TO PRIVACY RIGHTS, MR. TEACHER So like, I can't really take much away from our lectures.

Not to mention he is INCAPABLE of writing quiz questions!! Like, how do I go about answering this kind of question!?

Hi guys! So some of ya'll know that I am currently in an AP American Government and Politics class, which is college level (but many tell me it's harder than college ), but we have a project coming up here in the next couple months that I was hoping you guys would help me with! At least, I think I will, because that's what I've had other former students tell me.

It'll be a Google Form and I'll post the link, and basically it'll be a (political) poll which will be COMPLETELY anonymous except for maybe asking if you are above 18 or under (I'll most likely need age ranges for data). I need it so I can survey the general population of the U.S., but the more responses I get, the better. So, let me know if you'd be interested in participating so I can know to post it here when it comes up!

Ironic, I'm listening to a song about the consequences of your actions right now as I cram at around 2 in the morning for a trig. exam today :D

It's not that I haven't been doing my work- I have, I just don't understand the material well enough to preform it without my notes :/ Plus, I have to have the entire unit circle memorized- that's not happening :p

I'm exhausted. Same as the song, I haven't really slept this week. The couple weeks before finals are the absolute worst when it comes to school work. Seriously, I feel like I'm dying XD I have to do my hair still, and get up in a couple hours

Tips on making a Google Slides presentation look great!

If your teachers are like mine, they not only grade on the information in the presentation but also how it looks. If it looks like a bunch of random pictures and textboxes with Ariel font, you won't get very far in that department. So, here are some tips from someone who gets compliments from teachers on how my slides look.

1. Get all of your information. Obviously.
2. Add one slide to the title slide that should automatically be there. (the button looks like a plus sign with a dropdown arrow. Don't worry about the arrow right now. I'm using a slide I have to make an example).
3. In the same row you just added a slide, there should be a button called "Theme", click it.
4. There should be something like this popping up on the side. Choose any theme you want, there is a bunch to choose from. If you want, you can download a theme from a website as well, and use the import theme option, however, it's not necessary. I'm using Paradigm for this slide. Make sure it looks good on both your first (title) slide, and your second (normal) slide. Don't mind the colors, you will change them.
5. Close out of themes once you have picked one. Click "View", then in the dropdown menu, click "Master".
6. Once you click Master, there will be a bunch of different layouts for different types of slides. But for now, just click "Colors". It will be around the same place that "Theme" was in normal view. Something like the picture will show up. Click "Choose a theme color". You can mess around and change the colors in your presentation. I have changed mine to fit my topic, which is a person name Ariel Bloomer, and she has bright pink hair. But be careful and make sure your background and text colors are readable, you can go through the different layouts and do this.
7. Alright, you've got your theme and colors now. Go to the Master slide. This is the one shown separately from any of the layouts. Click on the text boxes and change their fonts. You can change them to anything, but don't make it unreadable, silly (Permanent Marker for example), nor cursive. If you don't have many fonts, you can click "Add Fonts" and just click some you think are good for your presentation, then you can select them.
8. Close out of Master view. You are now left with your slides. Use different layouts to show your information however you want, whatever you think looks best. Do not make your slides cluttered, use a small number of pictures if possible.
9. Right next to where you clicked "Theme", click "Transition". Another side will show up. Choose a transition from the dropdown, I have chosen Flip, however, I recommend Flip, Cube, Fade, and Dissolve. It depends on your theme and what looks best honestly. Choose "Apply to all slides".
10. And the step that may be a little extra. If you want to, try adding some animation to your slides. While you still have "Motion" open, click a text box or something you have on your slide. Then click "Add Animation", and you can have it fly in from up, down, left, right, anywhere, among other things when you or the teacher go to that slide. If done correctly, it will look really cool. Mess around with this, choose what looks best.
11. When your slide presentation is complete, you may wonder how to end it well. Now, I usually add a touch of humor into the end slide. A couple of things I have done are making a blank slide, making the background a picture of the Looney Tunes "That's all folks!" ending. Another is a big textbox with "The End" and in the lower right corner having a text box saying something like "Why are you reading this? Leave. Why are you still reading, the presentation is over? Here, I'll stop typing so you can stop reading. Go get a hobby, adopt a puppy, plant a tree, just do something better with your time than reading this."

Homework. We're all stuck with it. But with these tips, you can make it go by a lot faster.

1: Be in a calm place with no distractions. This usually means away from siblings, the TV, and music.

2: Relax! Try using good smelling room spray! Maybe you could play some sounds of nature such as a burbling brook.

3: Snack Attack! If you can, get some healthy snacks such as carrots, apples, celery, or oranges to eat while you work. It is scientifically proven that these food help you brains concentrate.

4: Lay out all your supplies. Make sure you have everything you need before you get started so you don't have to get up and down.

5: Read each question twice. This is very important so you don't misunderstand the question.
