I said stupid stuff on there 2 years ago and I keep getting harassed by @misty over it. She apparently doesn't understand what "THIS IS AN OLD COMMENT, I DON'T SAY THIS TYPE OF STUFF ANYMORE" means. I would consider deleting some of my old comments on there, but for some reason, KidzNet won't let me do that.

I think @kidzsearch should just shut down the site and move all posts here on KidzTalk. Like, is it really that active anymore? Out of 1796 posts, 360 (20%) of them are by one user, @Caryl. Of the 20 most recent, 11 are also written by her.

OSSN KidzNet (which shut down in 2021) sounded peak, if you don't want to shut down KidzNet, at least bring back the old one.

Just a quick explanation for those who don't know what Kidznews is, it's one of the Kidzsearch platforms in the Kidzsearch online platforms section or whatever it's called.

So, how do I create a Kidznews account? I have a Kidztalk account, but when I go onto Kidznews, it only says log in, and it doesn't let me use the Kidztalk account because Kidztalk and Kidznews don't connect account-wise. So how do I make a Kidznews account?

If you used the older “classic” version of KidzNet and want to download your data, and ideally move some or all of it to the new version, it can be accessed using https://kn.kidzsearch.com

We are ending official support for it on March 15th, 2022. You will not be able to login to your old account after that time.

If a user has older data from the previous version, you will see an ‘Archived Posts’ link in a profile page that connects to it. We also have a link in the footer section.

Please use the new version that was released a few months ago.

Hello, everyone!

I finally made up my mind to create a KidzTalk account. I feel like KidzTalk is better than KidzNet at this moment.

Some of you already know me, but I think many of you don't. Here is a short introduction:

My username is JD2005, but you can simply call me JD or Jay. I have been an active KidzNet user since September 2018. However, I didn't have a registered account on KidzTalk until now, so I have been using it as a guest user all this time. So yeah, this is my first post here as a registered user.

I'm a 16-year-old teen guy from India, who likes to listen to music, read books, write songs, edit photos, take pictures of the nature and browse the internet. By the way, I'm a huge fan of Alan Walker :D

I know that if I had made an account earlier, looking at my activity history, I can say that I would have got a fair amount of points by now. But I think it's better late than never. To be honest, I didn't come here just to get points. I came here to socialize :)

I joined KN today, and I need to know how to use it.

Here are few of my questions:

I just posted a drawing, and like KT, it didn't say - Your question will be checked and approved shortly. Does that mean posts in KN don't get checked by KS?

And, who approves our request to join a group?

And how to earn points? I didn't see FAQs for KN when I joined. I thought it would be there, because, when I joined KT, I got the FAQs.

Also, just give me tips on how to use it!!

KidzNet (old version) is now running. There was a major hardware issue that took a few days to fix. We also wanted to use this window to upgrade it to the new platform. However, since it will take longer than expected to provide a good experience and transition, we decided to keep it running. Our plan is to move all the data to the new KidzNet platform.

Kidzsearch has recently invested a lot of new features and themes into its kidztalk product. They have made a new feature that actually allows users to change the theme and look of the website. Gone is the candy theme that grace the screens of kidztalk users for over 5 years. In its place is the snow flat theme. Of course registered users can change back in their profiles. New options include the Pixel N Grain theme, the popular Muffin theme, the new default Snow Flat theme, the classic theme, and of course the original elegant responsive theme and candy theme.

How to switch?

Users can switch themes easily in their profiles. Of course only registered users can do so. If you want to get an account but don't know how, check out our Guide to kidztalk article.

Problems

Users are complaining that the Snow flat theme is not very mobile friendly. Parts of the page are cut off on mobile devices, and an annoying “ask question” button sits right on the top of the feed.

Conclusion

Kidzsearch disclosed the change in this announcement . They said that more themes are planned for us to use in the future.

Authors Note:

Kidztalk uses an open source software platform, question2answer.org. They bought a ton of new themes from their q2a market for our enjoyment. Question2answer is easy to install and I encourage you to do so. Here’s my q2a site: http://lickety.org/qa/.

KidzNet not working

KidzNet is not at loading at all. It will keep showing me the same white screen, and then same error message saying "This page has become unresponsive. You can wait for this page to load or close it". I have tried waiting and closing. After about 5 TIMES of this error message it gives me this error message

I have also tried clearing my cache, browsing history, cookies and site data, it hasn't worked. I have been able to see one post while the page was semi loaded and I scrolled down (the post was KnightStar sayin Happy labor day, and the page never fully loaded, and I couldn't keep scrolling for more of the feed). I hope you can find the issue nd fix it.

Edit:I got on the site for a few, and I think the problem could be the post kitten made with all the exclamtion points, and it could be taking my tablet a long time to load it. If you could maybe delete it, that might work.

This Friday, I might totally leave KS/KT/KN, because my online school is out on Friday and I don't have my tablet and my mom might uninstall internet from my tablet, I might not be on again after Friday. I wanted to let you all know that if I don't come online anymore than it's because I can't be online, not by choice, and that I didn't get murdered or anything. If my middle school next year has computers I can use, than I might be able to say hi every once in awhile to you guys, but other than that or if I get my tablet back, I will not be on at all. People on KN already know (most of them) because I made a post there last week, but yeah, I might be leaving KS/KT/KN forever after Friday, I promise not to forget everyone and this amazing website and I will come on as soon as I possibly can. I love everyone who has helped me out over the past few months, since I have been struggling with depression a lot, everyone has been very supportive and kind and I will really miss you all after Friday, I hope you have a good summer guys. And to slightly newer users who haven't known me for more than the past couple weeks, you have still helped me too, you are all great friends.

BTW. This is not fake, I really mean everything I have wrote here and unless I get my tablet back, I will not be on anymore. Anyone who might want to discuss taking on any of my stories, like Rise of The Wolves, please PM me on KN, if you can't, well then Idk, I can discuss what I have planned for the story and you could continue it for me, since I won't be on.
