If you have not made a chess move, assuming it is your turn, and entered the chess tournament, you have until tomorrow (Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 3:41 PM PDT) to avoid an automatic loss. Players have a maximum of 4 days to make a move. The first round will end on July 22, 2026 at 3:41pm PDT. If there is no winner, it will count as a draw for both players (1/2 point). The tournament ends on August 1st, 2026. The winner is the player with the most points after the final completed round.

We have officially started the first KidzTalk Play Chess Tournament. If you have any questions, just let us know. Notifications have been sent. You can see your round 1 matches on the chess homepage

Players have a maximum of 4 days to make a move. If there is no winner for a given round, it will count as a draw for both players (1/2 point). Each round lasts one week. The tournament ends on August 1st, 2026. The winner is the player with the most points after the final completed round.

We could really use another person to enter the chess tournament so we can match all the users (we currently have 27 after some dropped out). Also, if you are not interested in it and joined, there is still time to remove your name (click the remove button near your entry).

If we have an odd number of players we can still move forward, but one person will need to wait for the second round.

Update
We now have 26 users and have started the tournament. You should receive a notification about it. You can also go to the chess homepage and see your match for round 1.

KidzTalk Official Chess Tournament (July 2026)

We are now accepting entries for our first KidzTalk Play Chess Tournament. Just scroll down on the chess home page and select "Join Competition". You must be a registered KidzTalk user to enter. Once we have enough entries, we will schedule the first matches. The winner gets a special Chess Badge + 25K bonus points.

Players have a maximum of 4 days to make each move. Each tournament round lasts one week. If a player does not move before their deadline, they may lose that game by forfeit. If a game is still unfinished at the round deadline and both players were recently active, it may be scored as a draw, giving each player 1/2 point.

The tournament ends on August 1, 2026. The winner will be the player with the most points after the final completed round.

The last day you can enter is July 15, 2026.
