Important chess tournament notice

If you have not made a chess move, assuming it is your turn, and entered the chess tournament, you have until tomorrow (Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 3:41 PM PDT) to avoid an automatic loss. Players have a maximum of 4 days to make a move. The first round will end on July 22, 2026 at 3:41pm PDT. If there is no winner, it will count as a draw for both players (1/2 point). The tournament ends on August 1st, 2026. The winner is the player with the most points after the final completed round.

We have not see any chess moves by the following entered users:

We have officially started the first KidzTalk Play Chess Tournament. If you have any questions, just let us know. Notifications have been sent. You can see your round 1 matches on the chess homepage

Players have a maximum of 4 days to make a move. If there is no winner for a given round, it will count as a draw for both players (1/2 point). Each round lasts one week. The tournament ends on August 1st, 2026. The winner is the player with the most points after the final completed round.

We could really use another person to enter the chess tournament so we can match all the users (we currently have 27 after some dropped out). Also, if you are not interested in it and joined, there is still time to remove your name (click the remove button near your entry).

If we have an odd number of players we can still move forward, but one person will need to wait for the second round.

We now have 26 users and have started the tournament. You should receive a notification about it. You can also go to the chess homepage and see your match for round 1.

KidzTalk & the Drama Chapter 1

So, finally, we are going to start the story... And, if you're not included in this chapter you'll probably show up in the next chapter or the chapter after that. And if you want to be in the story too if you're not yet in the story please tell me :]. I will no longer accept any more people wanting to be in the story after we reach chapter 3-5 Ok....

Enter story mode
Well, it's the new school year... What could possibly go wrong? Well, actually, everything...

"Hm hm.... How shall I look when we enter the school... Should I wear a manly black boss suit? Or.... How about a sleeves shirt to show my muscles?" @Quan says looking at the mirror smirking as he folds his arms thinking.

"Dude, we're just going back to school after a few months, what's the big deal? I have an idea, why not you wear that half sleeves shirt that has cucumbers with mustaches on it?" @YOA says grinning.

Quan looks at YOA, smirks, and then says "Er..... It won't be a great outfit for my surprise though.. Alright, sure then..." Quan replies putting on his cucumbers with mustaches shirt.

At school
@Yarosalva and @TaterTot are near their lockers talking.
"Hey guys." YOA says to them. "EXCUSE ME, WE ARE NOT GUYS WE ARE GIRLS!" TaterTot says folding her arms and looking dramatically offended. YOA puts his hands in the air "Woah woah- Chill- Okay- hey girls-" YOA says smirking but slightly confuse.
Then the others see Quan jumping excitedly "What's got Quan in such a good mood? SHOULD I RAGE-BAIT HIM?" Yarosalva says rubbing her hands together. YOA chuckles and says "No- don't ragebait him Yaroslava... I think he's just happy to be back at school?" YOA looks at Quan suspiciously then walks over to him. "Yo dude." YOA says to Quan. Quan looks at YOA "Yeah? Wut?" Quan replies. "What's got you in such a good mood? Yoa asks Quan. Quan blinks once, then smirks "Oh, I'm the principal's son!" says Quan happily. YOA laughs "No you're not!" YOA says.
"Yea I am" Quan replies with a childish tone. "Where's the proof, hm?" YOA asks Quan.
"Go to the principal's office! You'll see that my dad's there!" Quan replies.

YOA shifts uncomfortably then turns around and signals Yarosalva and TaterTot to come with him. "Quan is just messing with us right? There's no way his dad is the principal, I'd punch Quan if that were actually true..." Yarosalva says to TaterTot. TaterTot replies "Yeah.... Why are we even trusting Quan on this?"
They reach the principal office but don't open the door yet... "Go on YOA... Open the door..." Quan says with a smirk. "Quan... I'm going to punch you if this is a big lie." Yarosalva says darkly. They open the door. "Hi dad!" Quan says happily with an evil smirk as he enters the office. Quan's dad says "Hi Quan."
Everyone's mouth drops. "Soooo, what were you saying early @Yaroslava... That if this was a lie you'd punch meee?" said Quan evilly. Yarosalva shakes her head and folds her arm mumbling something like "This isn't fair"
"I- what- HUH? Quan.... You are the son of our school principal?" YOA says slowly... "So.... You could help us if we ever got in detention yeah bud?" Yoa says quickly his eye expanding so wide it's almost touching his eyebrows. "Actually, the opposite @YOA... You see.... Since I am the son of the schools principal, my dad has allowed me to control some things in the school... Which means I can control how things work here.... And how many times you guys can get in detention..." Said Quan evilly as he smirks. Yarosalva frowns and her jaw drops open again, she closes her mouth, then opens it, closes, then opens. She then points a finger at Quan "TRAITOR!" Shouts Yarosalva loudly. Tatertot mumbles "Why on earth do we trust you..."
"What? Sir- Principal- Quan's dad- this isn't actually true is it..?" YOA asks. "It is very true I am afraid." The principal replies. YOA shakes his head in disbelief. Quan opens the door and exits. YOA , Yarosalva , and TaterTot watch Quan walk away....
"This is not good..." YOA says as he watches Quan walk away...

CHAPTER 1 FINISHED ;D!

New rule for chess?

I think that there should be a rule for chess about grinding wins with an alt. I have no idea how you would detect or stop it but that seems unfair.

KidzTalk Official Chess Tournament (July 2026)

We are now accepting entries for our first KidzTalk Play Chess Tournament. Just scroll down on the chess home page and select "Join Competition". You must be a registered KidzTalk user to enter. Once we have enough entries, we will schedule the first matches. The winner gets a special Chess Badge + 25K bonus points.

Players have a maximum of 4 days to make each move. Each tournament round lasts one week. If a player does not move before their deadline, they may lose that game by forfeit. If a game is still unfinished at the round deadline and both players were recently active, it may be scored as a draw, giving each player 1/2 point.

The tournament ends on August 1, 2026. The winner will be the player with the most points after the final completed round.

The last day you can enter is July 15, 2026.

Idea for KidzTalk Play

you should have a multiplayer tag or a family friendly top down shooter

or maybe you could have a trivia game or smth where you have to name the 50 states and their locations as fast as possible and the fastest times get put on a leaderboard

idk just spitting out some ideas

@kidzsearch can you add badges for when you have a certain amount of wins in a chess game?

and maybe special badges for stuff like win streaks, winning a hard difficulty against kidzbot, etc

it'll encourage others to play :D

Introducing KidzTalk Play

KidzTalk Play is a brand new feature. It is focused on interactive multiplayer games between KidzTalk users. We are excited to finally release it. If you see any issues, or want new features, please list them here. You can also request new games, but they need to be okay for schools.

Chess is our first game release. We hope you enjoy using it. If you have any questions, please let us know. An official KidzTalk Chess Tournament will be scheduled in the near future once everyone is more familiar with things.
