Get super upset for the most microscopic of reasons? It seems like such a big deal and you do something you regret even as you know it's wrong and then you just... you CAN'T apologize because of your pride but also, it felt like the end of the world and you know (or you think) that doesn't just happen for no reason. Then you're sad because you feel bad and you know you're doing something wrong and then you're mad at other people, yourself, and generally the world. Anyone else? Or is that just me?? Idk

It’s the first day of school. You wake up, brush your teeth and hair, get dressed, put on your backpack, and go out the back door. You can’t go through the front door because your aunt and her boyfriend moved in over the summer. Your family had to turn the front room, where your grandpa used to hang out, into a bedroom for them, and your family had to turn the basement into his area.

You finally got out of the house. It was 6:40 a.m. You walked across the street to the bus stop, and waited for your best friend Sharyl Junge (and also the bus)... but brothers Kye and Beso Case got there first.

“HEY ALICE!” They yelled in sync from across the street… crossing… crossed. The bus pulled up. You rushed in, thankful you weren’t on the same bus as them. You hear them yelling your name… “ALICE! ALICE THOMPSON!” in a singsongy voice. You hate them.

It’s after school now. Kye and Beso followed you and threw rocks at your front door. It wouldn’t have annoyed you because that’s your aunt and her boyfriend’s room now. You can’t hear the pang of the rocks over them arguing, so it’s fine.

Over the summer you once got so mad that you threw a brick at Beso and got grounded for a MONTH. That was when you were walking to the park with Sharyl and they wouldn’t stop pestering you. They followed you to the park, and while you were going home, Sharyl realized they were following you. So you grabbed a brick and chucked it at Beso’s leg. He had brushed it off like it didn’t hurt, but he had to go to the hospital because he was limping. That was when your mother got called, and she grounded you. You couldn’t go out for a month! You were so upset.

It’s Wednesday. You’re in school, but you’re remembering this morning. It was 5:50 AM. You were tired. You walked past the mirror… and paused. You walked back to the mirror. You realize your favorite shirt looks a bit small. You lift your arms and your stomach shows. You run to the bathroom, ashamed of yourself. Are you gaining weight? Should you go on a diet?

At 7:04 AM the bus picks you up. Bump. The bus shakes, and you think you see your stomach jiggle. You grab your computer to see your face because you don’t have a phone. Your parents won't let you have one. You look at your ugly, brown hair and eyes. It looks like someone covered your hair in mud, and someone stuffed your pupils with chocolate. “Chocolate,” you think. “Gotta cut down on that if I want to lose weight.”

Then you feel something hit your leg.

“Hey, what the heck was that?” you yell. You look down. It was a marker; you grab the marker. You looked behind you.

“Hey there, rabbit,” you heard a familiar voice say. “Want some carrots?” Panic streaks through your body. Adrenaline zips through your veins, and you’re shaking. You quickly turn away from Kye, but you’re too late. You feel cold orange lumps being thrown at you. You realize they’re baby carrots. You hate carrots. Then… you hear a lid being opened and various popping sounds… then you hear a low rattle and… all you see are colors. Red, orange, yellow, green… every color of the rainbow. And you realize you’re being showered with markers. They didn’t have any caps, and now you had ink all over your skin and clothes.

You felt the bus pull over and the bus driver walks down to your seat.

“What did you do?!” he says.

“What? No! It was Kye! He dumped all these markers on me and now I have to go to school-”

He cuts you off.

“I know. I was talking to him.” He nods in Kye’s direction. “Why did you dump markers all over this fine young lady? My god… in all my years of driving a bus and I’ve never seen a kid do this. Now explain yourself, son.”

“W-well,” Kye stammers, obviously nervous. “W-well it was j-just a joke and I-I was dared t-to…”

“By who?” the bus driver inquired.

“U-um… Beso d-dared me to… I r-really d-didn’t want t-to…” He was stumbling over his words.

“Well like it or not, I’m sending you BOTH home. GET. OFF. MY. BUS. BOTH OF YOU.”

The driver turned back. You were upset. You were the victim, yet you were being punished?! No fair! You begrudgingly got off the bus with Kye, headed to your house, and took a shower. You changed and got ready to walk to school, and when you got outside… Kye was there.

“Hey… Alice… I-I... I like you. And I’m sorry for what I did… forgive me?” He held flowers out towards you and he sheepishly smiled.

“Well… well… sure. Let’s be friends.”

You and Kye have been friends for a while now. You hang out almost every day, and you don’t think you’re so ugly anymore. Even Beso has started to catch on! You found this new spot to hang out with Kye. It’s a tree house in the woods, and you cleaned it up to make it really comfortable. Your life feels much better, now that those boys aren't bullying you guys now, and now you’re friends. You’ve learned that sometimes, some people are bullies and some people are bullied, but that’s just the way things work.

Have any of ya'll ever read the book "Orange Is The New Black", by Piper Kerman? It is also a memoir and it is also about why she was in the slammer and why. I read this book and just finished last night. It is super good and totally I recommend it. Also yes there is a show called "Orange Is The New Black" BUT THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN FIRST YA'LL! And then they made the TV show.

Introduction

Velkommen to the 1st page of your Nordic journey. My name is Carly and I wrote this book to educate kids and teens about Nordic culture. I love anything Scandinavian, so why not write a book about this beautiful part of the world?

I started writing this book when I was 13 years old in August of 2023 with the help of my reading teacher I spent a lot of time researching information about the Nordic countries for this book.

In this book, You will learn everything about the Nordic countries, From the Vikings and the Northern Lights to IKEA and Nordic languages.

Now the sad news, my parents finally understand exactly what this site is and I MAY have to quit forver. BU, don't worry, even if I can't use it, Iwon't delete my account. I'll try to sneak onto this site and nswer when I can. It may be more challenging now. BUT, even if i'm not allowed to answer I'll still upvote (if im allowed to keep my account) If not, I'll still read the wonderful mc stories on here until I find out, I'll be extremely active in hopes of beating one more person. I'll tell you if and when my parents say I can't be here anymore. If I haven't said I have to leave in a month, assume I can stay.

I really want to do a story Co-op with somebody ! I really need to write more too because I've been LAZY :P. If you want to do a co-op please note:

I don't want to write anything that violates my morals that means ABSOLUTELY NO LGBT characters, themes etc.
The story genres will be either Sci-Fi, Dystopia, or Action it can have romance or fantasy or really anything else mixed in, but one or more of these genres WILL be included.
PITCH IN: please. Please don't go more than a week without posting a chapter unless notifying me first if you do I WILL Write the next chapter if you do it more than 5 times you might be replaced by an other author. (We will be doing every other chapter)
