So I was questioning coming out to my sister as a therian, so I wrote out a text message to see if I would actually want to do it and i didnt want to. So I was going to click the delete button but I hit the send button instead. And It turns out that .. she knew. Actually my whole family knew. They realize it when I started wearing a tail around them. I'm kinda embarrassed. Not for being a therian but just because I didn't know that they knew. :l

Ok so im lana and im 12 i'm in 8th grade and take all honors classes with algebra 1. All my friends have phones (except for 1). I've been asking for a phone scince I was 8 and all she says is mabye next year. I will be in high school next year, people already tease me about my height and my age and my forehead. She told me dosen't think i'm responsible enough, but I think I deserve one. It's been about 2 weeks since i started doing regular chores. She's taken my nintendo (i like questionable rap music), my meta quest, even though i have a kids account, and she got me a nokia which doent even work, she said it's not mine yet either, and she's always going through messages with my friends that I have on her phone. I like to read (she likes to brag about it) and I have mostly straight A's and no allowance. I am the Student Council treasurer and in STEAM club. What should i do?

I don’t feel like writing the how thing because that would be way to long.lol

So here’s an overview.

I called a family meeting my mom comes in to the door way of the living room big brother comes in, they ask what this is about. I answered “um I have something to tell you guys” I ask them to sit down they don’t (my dad and little brother were already on the couch)

My mom says that she’s close enough. I’m like okay, I hand mom the letter I say “you can read it out loud so everyone knows” Mom doesn’t read it out loud, she reads the nonbinary part and says I already know this. I’m like there’s more keep reading.

Mom finished and passes it to big brother he reads it and my little brother is like what does it say? Big brother leaves (not angrily) with out a comment After he passes it to my little brother. He and my dad go to his room and read it out loud so little brother knows what it says.

they come back into the room moms like I can’t call you Sage (Sage is my chosen name) at co-op they won’t understand.

I’m like, it could be like a nickname. Mom okay but little brother might have to still call you your old name because it will be confusing. I say okay. My dad hugs me and says that he excepts me mom also says she excepts me (she’s not a hugger)

Long story short they excepted me and still love me I’m really happy because I can now be myself at my house they are both trying to use my pronouns and my new name. :DDD

What's the MOST annoying thing parents do in your house? For me, my mom won't stop watching me and being behind me. She changed my google password and won't tell me what it is. Also I'm currently on a punishment for something I did at school that I won't tell and kidztalk might ban me for it(if they even ban people). Sometimes I just wanna scream, or throw something, or punch something. Another thing that annoys me is that parents NEVER shut up. I expect this question to be FLOODED with answers. So my parents would be like, "But ur already in a play" Ya, ik. BUT THIS PLAY IS BETTER.

I'm currently in a production of 101 Dalmatians, and I have 4 lines. But in my opinion, my character doesn't really do much and if I left they could just either cast someone else in the ensemble or just change a few lines so my role isn't a thing. But my parents will be like, "I'm paying for it, so ur going." REHEARSAL'S NOT EVEN TWICE A WEEK, AND ONE OF THE LEAD ROLES IS AN EIGHT YEAR OLD WHO CAN'T READ OR ACT!!

There is open auditions I looked at in my area but i dont know how to ask my parents help!

so my mom is rly strict. Here are my reasons:

1) I cant wear crop tops or 2 piece bathing suits.

2) No movies or tv series rated higher than PG

3) I cant have friends ovr if my mom doesnt know their mom.

4) no snap, youtube, or tik tok

Whenever I bring this up, she says, 'U dnt have any chores!' like, NO ONE HAS CHORES ANYMORE

I was in the kitchen with my dad and I started talking about LGBTQ+ and Transgender rights (im genderfluid, aromantic, and omnisexual), and he started accusing me of only being LGBTQ+ because I was "watching other people talking about it and that I wouldn't worry about that because im a minor". What he basically said is that I was influenced to be gay and just " hopped on a trend" (being LGBTQ+ is NOT a trend). And I also asked him for a binder a few months ago and he kept brushing it off and ignoring it.

I also brought up the idea of genderfluid/non binary/genderless bathing suits, since summer is coming up in my country and all my other bathing suits are bikinis, which I don't really feel comfortable in. He went dead silent and continued staring at his phone, which made me feel so left out and unheard. I know he wants to love and accept me openly but he doesn't know how.

He said he accepts me, but he treats my sexuality and gender identity like it isnt important. Im 12, and he acts like im unable to know what I identify as at this age. I just wish I could freely talk to him about it, but every convo I have about it ends with us yelling at each other and me crying in the bathroom later on.

I dislike my mom, and my grandparents live in Canada so I can't talk to them. My dad is my only other option but I barely see him since my parents are divorced. Don't get me wrong, my dad is such an amazing person and I love him so much, but sometimes its hard. He does everything to make sure me and my siblings are happy, but I hate when he acts like this. During our argument today, he ended it by saying "just know that ill always love you and you'll always be my daughter", to which I responded " daughter? How long until I stop being someone's daughter? I hate being like this, im always someone's daughter. Do you think I want to be a daughter, or a girl, or a woman? Am I nothing else?". He paused before saying "you're my child then" and walked away.

I guess im just trying to say that I wish every conversation we had didnt go like this and that I could speak openly with him. I see other parents and their kids and I get so jealous. I suffer from teenage depression and I wish I could openly discuss it with my dad and that he'd listen and not just say im being influence by someone else. Most of the people in my life, like ex-lovers, ex-friends, and even my own mother have told me so many things that make me feel like everything I think or do is just another overreaction. My dad thinks im overreacting, and when I started talking about all the anti-lgbtq things that have been happening in my country, he just asked why I cared so much since it "didn't affect me" and that I was getting to riled up and that I was overreacting.

Anyone else relate? Im sorry if this sounds rushed or poorly worded, I'm having a really bad day.

I don’t know what to do. My mom asked to borrow my phone to call my grandma because hers was dead so I said yes and handed it over. My phone can be spotty on calls when I have tabs open as it it’s an older model so I closed everything out before giving it to her. I have OCD so I can’t stand having any notifications on my homescreen so i always clear out my mail, messages, etc. So I went to clear out my inbox in my phone app and saw my mom never made the call. I figured maybe she deleted it because she knows it bothers me. When I went to swipe out of my phone app I saw that all my socials were open as well as my photos and my browser. I knew I had closed them so I am sure my mom went through my phone and I don’t know whether to confront her or to leave it alone. It’s not like I am a bad kid that she has to check that I’m not doing anything bad. I don’t understand why she doesn’t trust me and I don’t know how to handle it. If you have any advice it would be much appreciated.

Mad? Lately it feels like everything Ive done my parents have some reason to be mad. Like one day I took the initiative to take the bag of food to the pot luck. And then my mom got all mad bc I was holding the bag wrong and spilt all the dip, but i was doing her a favor. But that same morning, my mom dropped and ruined the beautiful pie that took me 2 hours to make. And lately it just seems like my parents are mad at me for tiniest little things, they're like your almost 15 you should be able to do this. Your old enough now to know how to do things.Now that your older you need to pay attention to instructions. They don't realize I have such a hard time listening and I'm really fidgety. I don't have ADHD, I don't think, but when someone is just talking to me, I zone out and am thinking about other things. Or during school I can't keep my hands still. I have to have something my fingers can fidget with like a pencil, or a rubber band. I'm so tired of my mom and dad always being mad at me.

I went to the black history thingy in Georgia, and a boy asked me on a date (I'm ten and he was like.. 11?) I said " No, I'm fine! Thanks!" and he said ok and left. Then they read poems and he was sitting right behind me and he was on his phone not listening. Then when we were leaving he saw I had a necklace on and grabbed it and said"Nice keychain" . Then when we left he held the door open and my Mom was like " He keeps running into us" And then we had a talk back home about what he said to me and we had a laugh about it. I never told them about it, and it feels bad to not tell my parents, but at least I didn't get in trouble?
