Know that all your worries are not real...

Know that you ARE love, and therefore do not NEED outside love. Once you love yourself, everything becomes clearer.

You can call me whatever names you want... But you cannot make me do anything I do not want to do.

That is what you have to know about yourself. You have to love yourself first, or else you won't know what love is, and therefore won't be able to GIVE it.

Dua Upon sneezing

"When one of you sneezes he should say:

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ

All praises and thanks are to Allah.

Alhamdu lillaah

...and his brother or companion should say to him:

يَرْحَمُكَ اللّٰهُ

May Allah have mercy upon you.

I know people have posted about this already, but I want to ask everyone something.

So... there has been a lot of (for want of a better word) fighting on here recently about religion, LGBT+ rights and politics.

I’m really, really sorry because I know I was a part of it. If I hurt or offended anybody, please accept my biggest, most ginormous apologies. I wish I could hug you through the screen and make it better, but sadly I can’t, so you’ll have to make do with words instead.

I love it here and you guys are truly incredible humans. There is an awesome LGBT+ community here and I really feel welcome there, but I feel slightly pushed off here by some other people. I know that you are only expressing your opinions and I am 100% for that, but really, you are hurting people. Some of what you said, even though you didn’t mean to hurt anyone, was like a big slap with a cold trout.

Please, remember that they are opinions and not fact. They are not a truth that is universally accepted by all, they are opinion. As long as they remain opinion and not fact, they are just as right or wrong as anybody else’s opinion. You may think it is amazing news and a thousand percent true, but there could be someone else on the other side of the world, on the other side of the screen, that could be really damaged by your words. Your words have power, just remember that.

So I am asking you now to stop being so definitive with your words. Before you express any of your opinions, add ‘I think’ or ‘I believe’ in front of them, and use less hard language. Also, try and back up your opinions with facts.

For example...

if you’re writing a post about the 2020 US elections, don’t write “Donald Trump is an orange weirdo but Biden is worse.”
Instead, write “I think Donald Trump is the better option because (reason).”
if you’re answering a post about gay people and religion, don’t put “being gay is a sin, it says so in the Bible which is God’s word etc., etc.”
Instead, write, “I think being gay is a sin because in the Bible it says (quote from Bible) and I believe that the Bible is God’s word etc., etc.”

I know that the posts on religion are very important to you guys because you believe you have to spread the word about your religion etc., but please don’t force it on anybody. Everyone can make our own decisions and if you bombard people with what you believe is the truth you will just push them away. This keeps the debate friendlier and less heated.

I just want to say that from here, please, go ahead, express your opinions, but think before you type and don’t hurt anybody.

The Compassion of The Prophet Towards Those Who Aboused Him.

Prophet Muhammad started the message of Islam in Arabia at a time when human rights had no meaning, might was right and the society was entrenched in paganism. In this environment, Prophet Muhammad taught a message of justice, peace, human rights, animal rights and even environmental rights as ordained by God, the One True Creator of all that is in the universe.

God has shown us in the character of Prophet Muhammad the model of a companionate person. He treated everyone, friends and foe, man and woman, young and old, with kindness and respect.

Even when the pagan Arabs reacted to the message of the Prophet with extreme hatred he showed love and kindness.

The following examples from the life of the Prophet show us how we should react when faced with hatred.

We can see one of the most patient and tolerant aspects of the Prophet's character in the incident of an old woman who made a habit of throwing trash in the way of the Holy Prophet Muhammad whenever he passed by her house.

The story related about this incident, mentions a neighbor of the Prophet that tried her best to irritate him by throwing garbage in his way every day. One day, when he walked out of his home there was no garbage. This made the Prophet inquire about the old woman and he came to know that she was sick. The Prophet went to visit her and offer any assistance she might need. The old woman was extremely humbled and at the same time ashamed of her actions in light of the concern that the Prophet showed her.

By seeing the example of compassion of Prophet Muhammad , she became convinced that Islam must be a true religion that the Prophet was preaching. 1

Another incident that is reported from the life of the Prophet is when the Prophet traveled to a neighboring town of Taif.

In Taif he thought he might find people who might be respectable to the message of Almighty God. The people of Taif turned out to be as hateful as the people of Makkah. The elders of the town planned an organized campaign to ridicule the Prophet. To escalate their disapproval of the Prophet and prevent him from preaching Islam, they set a group of children and vagabonds behind him. They pestered him and threw stones at him. Tired, forsaken and wounded, he sought refuge in a nearby garden. It belonged to Atabah and Shaibah, two wealthy chiefs of Quraish.

They were both there when Prophet Muhammad entered and sat under a distant tree. The Prophet raised his face towards heaven and prayed: "O Almighty! I raise unto you, my complaint for my weakness, my helplessness, and for the ridicule to which I have been subjected. O Merciful! You are the Master of all oppressed people, You are my God! So to whom would You consign me? To the strangers who would ill-treat me, or to the enemies who have an upper hand over me? If whatever has befallen me is not because of Your wrath, then I fear not. No doubt, the field of Your security and care is wide enough for me. I seek refuge in Your light which illuminates the darkness and straightens the affairs of this world and hereafter, that Your displeasure and wrath may not descend upon me. For the sake of Your pleasure, I remain pleased and resigned to my fate. No change in this world occurs without Your Will."

Atabah and Shaibah were watching. They sent for their servant named Adaas and gave him a plate full of grapes. "Take this to that man under the tree," they ordered. So he brought the grapes to Prophet Muhammad .

As the Prophet picked the grapes he said: "Bismillahir Rahmaanir Rahim" (In the Name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate). Adaas had never heard this before. He was impressed by it, because the Prophet was invoking mercy and compassion of Almighty in spite of all the hardship he was subjected to.

"Who are you?" Adaas asked. Muhammad replied, "I am the Prophet of God. Where do you come from?"

The servant said: "I am Adaas, a Christian. I come from Nainava."

"Nainava? You come from a place where my brother Yunus bin Mati (Jonah son of Mati) lived," the Prophet said.

Adaas was surprised to hear the name.

"What do you know of Yunus? Here no one seems to know him. Even in Nainava there were hardly ten people who knew his father's name."

The Prophet said: "Yes, I know him because just like me, he was a Prophet of Almighty God."

Adaas fell on his knees before the Prophet , kissed his hand and embraced him.

It is further reported that after the Prophet took refuge from the stone-throwing mob, Angel Jibrael came to the Prophet and asked him if he so wished Jibrael would give the command to bury the city between two mountains. Although the prophet had suffered a great deal at the hands of these people, he replied that he did not wish destruction for the people of Taif because maybe their offspring would proclaim the religion of truth. 2

The Islamic scholar Imam Ghazali (1058 - 1111 C.E.) summarizes the information he collected in the hadith regarding our Prophet's compassionate attitude to all those around him as follows:

"He was far from knowing anger and quickly showed compassion for things. He was the most loving of men toward other people. He was the most auspicious of men and did the most good to others, and the most useful and beneficial to others." 3

The Quran says that Prophet was sent as a mercy to the worlds. If we are to honor the Prophet , it will be by adopting the sublime character of our Prophet and not through the emotions of anger and hate.

1. The Prophet Muhammad said, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him: Your Heaven lies under the feet of your mother (Ahmad, Nasai).

2. A man came to the Prophet and said, ‘O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship? The Prophet said: Your mother. The man said, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man further asked, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your mother. The man asked again, ‘Then who?' The Prophet said: Then your father. (Bukhari, Muslim).

3. Abu Usaid Saidi said: We were once sitting with Rasulullah when a man from the tribe of Salmah came and said to him: O Messenger of Allah! do my parents have rights over me even after they have died? And Rasulullah said: Yes. You must pray to Allah to bless them with His Forgiveness and Mercy, fulfill the promises they made to anyone, and respect their relations and their friends (Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah).

My mother is an ideal housewife. She is 42 years old. She is very religious minded. She takes proper care of us all. She has a good sense of cleanliness and sanitation. She tries her best to make me well educated. She helps me in all possible ways. She advises us to follow the path of truth and religion. I am really indebted to her in all respects. Our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sm.) said that Allah is pleased with him who pleases his parents. Our Prophet also said, "The heaven of the children lies under the feet of mother" . Al Jannah tahta akdamil ummahath.

How is the family lineage of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)?

Allah`s prophets always had the most pure family lineage. Before Hadhrat Abu Sufyaan accepted Islaam, he was asked by the Caesar of Rome; how is the Family Lineage of the Prophet Muhammad? Abu Sufyaan replied:

هو فينا ذو نسب

He is of a Good Lineage. [Bukhari]1

On hearing this Caesar replied:

و كذلك الرسل تبعث في نسب قومها

Prophets are always sent into noble families. [Bukhari]1

The well-known genealogy of the Holy Prophet (S) is as follows: Muhammad (S), son of Abdullah son of Abdul Muttalib son of Hashim son of Abde Manaf son of Qusayy son of Kilab son of Marrah son of Lavi son of Ghalib son of Fahar son of Malik son of Nuzayr son of Kananah son of Khuzaimah son of Madrakah son of Ilyas son of Mazar son of Nazar son of Maad son of Adnan.

So far this genealogy is unanimously proven. There are disagreements from here to Prophet Adam (a).So I didn't mention that.

I especially hate these kinds:

Singling out girls fro boys (ex. Girls only like pink and glitter while guys like everything else or Boys like everything dinasours and cars while girls like everything else)

Judging a person my their race/religion (ex. Well, she won the spelling bee because she's Asian or we didn't win the spelling bee because we're all American)

I think we're all created equal. What's the need for all of this ruckus? (I didn't mean to offend anyone with the examples BTW)

I've Decided To Make Peace

Well, it's happened. Trump won. I know some people like him, but I am certainly not one of them. But I've decided to make my peace with the fact that I can't change anything about it. It will be a difficult 4 years (hopefully not 8) but we will keep on going. But everybody can just remember, America is not a bus you can just jerk one way. It's a train, and it's on a track- you can't just turn. We all just need to go out of our way to be kind and caring to make sure America goes forward with kindness not backward. I do not think Donald Trump will make good president myself, and it is okay if you do. We are blessed to live in a country where we can elect our president. Just make sure to keep loving everybody. Remember everybody, diversity is a truly beautiful thing. Try and be empathetic to everyone, and don't decided you can't be friends with someone because of their political belief. Just be kinder than necessary and love everyone more than they love you. We can do it.
