We added a new feature that lets you use the @ symbol followed by a username in any search box to quickly get to a user profile, similar to notifications. It also searches past names to help you find people. Just start typing whatever part of the name you want to match. Users must have over 1K points to be on the list. You can use it to quickly message a user, view their profile, see their post activity, bio, etc.

Note: Some user profile pages may be slow to load if they have a lot of points/badges, but we are working to speed that up.

You can also search categories by using the / or # sign.

New Online Status Feature

Based on feedback, we released a new feature that tells you if a user was recently seen online. You will see a green dot on their avatar and a status notice in their profile if they are online.

If you don't want your online status shown, there is an option in your account profile to hide it as a setting.

We hope you find it useful. Any feedback would be appreciated.

You Can Now Change Your Email

If you need to change your email, it can now be done by editing your profile and clicking on the "change email" link. KidzTalk users will require their parent/guardian to have access to both the old and new email accounts to make any updates.

i am now able to have a profile picture because i have hit 1,500 points!!!!! if you look at my profile you will see that i have picked a picture of a therian Tortie cat. i picked this because...well... its my theriotype. idk why i thought that wouldn't be obvious. but anyways YAAAAYYY PROFILE PIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We decided to lower the number of points needed to get an Avatar and feel it will encourage more new user activity while still being a challenge. You now need 1,500 points instead of 5,000.

All Avatars must be approved by our moderators and have no personal information. They must also be family-friendly.
