My old ones were bigger and sparkly purple.

But my new ones are a slightly different shape, and a dark brown.

Lol when we were picking them out, the lady that was showing us the medal glasses in the box thingy kept insisting that I go for a more colorful pair.

If they had green, we would’ve gone with that, but almost none of us want a bright color.

Cuz not only do earthy tones look amazing, but also if we went with a brighter one, more people would mistake us for a girl faster.

And also the glasses shape we picked out actually accentuates our jawline a little more than my other pair.

And since we have a softer face shape—despite having a diamond shaped face—that’s good :)

But the different shape, and now sharper vision will take some time getting used too.

But that’s okay.

Also, I know summer break is practically just starting—and yall prolly don’t want to think about school, but we’re going to be thinking about it(if we get accepted) all summer, and have no clue how a first day usually goes.

And also what the heck is the hierarchy in public schools?

so i was sitting on the blacktop picking up some cool rocks and this stupid kid kicked a soccer ball PERFECTLY AT ME (it was an accident but still) so that my pinky finger got smashed into the ground, scraping it WITH DIRT ON IT!!!! i went to the nurse's office, washed it out (which took a worryingly long amount of time to do so), and put a good band-aid on it (cuz it was a pretty constant blood flow), then i went back to class and realized i had missed an entire, like, TWO MINUTES of reading time D:

so my brother's school made a flier for a trip thingy and it was made with ai and it had a qr code in the middle. thing is, THE QR CODE WAS MADE WITH AI

there are some serious problems in our education (at least for me) and here's the ones that are really eating away at my mental health, with explanations:

-there's nothing for my (idk what else to call this) level of smartness

i'm too "smart" for normal classes (don't call me egotistical i know i'm not a supergenius) so i got placed in GATE (Gifted And Talented Education) but now that i'm in fifth, it's getting super hard and i'm worried i'll get bumped back down into normal classes and not only be surrounded by unfamiliar kids that are slightly less smart than me but also get seperated from my friends who are in GATE

-nothing for ADHD

not much of my learning has "clicked" with me due to this and anyone with a mental illness or whatever will probably understand (don't yell at me if you have a mental illness or whatever and don't understand plz)

idk there's probably more

side note, i gained a lot of depression and a lot of insecurities over winter break and i hope i don't have a mental breakdown in the middle of class

so apparently this week is the week all of my teachers decided to assign summatives! and i was absent most of the week! which is great for me. so i have to write an essay this weekend AND study for an algebra test AND do missing work from biology. i can probs finish my essay during advisory monday (as long as i do most of it over the weekend) and study a bit during lunch or something bc im NOTTT passing that test im so cooked. i also just??? did not do anything monday apparently??? i literally dont remember monday its like a fog in my head so. yeah. im genuinely cooked chat i am going to be stressed this weekend. i've been meaning to hang out with my friend charley sometime soon bc i havent rlly talked to her since halloween cuz ive been busy with school and i feel rlly bad abt that but i guess im waiting until thanksgiving break!!! which is in like 5 days so i mean its not that bad.

also we dont even get the whole week off for break we still have to go monday and tuesday ughhh. and then finals are from december 17th-19th and im not passing those either bro... i missed like half of the semester... i feel like i should be exempt???? but idk we'll find out. and then from dec 22- jan 2 we have winter break, and then from jan 5-7 we dont have school for some reason..... i only gotta wait like a month to have time for myself guys this is great. thats probably when im gonna try to get my community service hours done so like! yeah. i actually might not have free time. we'll find out. i'm already gonna be doing something around thanksgiving for that so maybe i'll actually have free time during my break.

i have to do 40 community service hours in the entirety of highschool (like all of the years combined) to graduate and im planning to do like??? 10 hours per year??? i think that's probably the best plan bc then i wont rush to do them during senior year. plus i could probably do some stuff at the library if there arent too many kids already volunteering there, and the library is like a rlly close walk from my school, plus i have 3 friends (theyre all brothers.....) i could walk there with, i'll probably go with e (my childhood best friend) and do them with him as long as he gets permission from his mom. i think he will as long as he gets permission from his mom and one of his brothers comes with. i think we'll have to wait until like spring-ish tho bc my mom doesnt want me walking out in the cold bc then i might get sick again.

ok that was probably rlly boring to read but its fineeee. my goal so far has been to make at least 2 posts a day, and they all have to be like longer than 1 paragraph or else im LAMEEEE. ok bye

im at school rn and its so bad.... like..... omg i cant do it bro. today's only a halfday so i get out at 11:45 instead of 3:15 but idk if i can make it. i feel so tired and so sweaty for no reason bro. like yeah i sweat during the school day bc its a lot of stairs but today im like drenched in sweat. and im usually tired but not this tired. im like the most exhausted i've ever been in my life. i could barely wake up this morning. my mom is gonna take me to the doctor this week if i dont get better to see if i need antibiotics, and im not going to school friday. i wish i could go home but i cant bc i dont have a fever :( but im resting in the nurse's office rn.

also the half day schedule is so weird? like we have a and b days for half days and today's a B day. for context every freshman has either 4a or 4b lunch, when 4a people are in lunch, 4b people are in advisory and vice versa. i just think it's weird cuz like.... its so different from middle school. also at my highschool, the freshmen start at 7:20am and the upperclassmen start at like 8 which is so weird to me. idk highschool in general is weird.

Okay so I found out my classes early since my friend helped me and I got PE at first period LIKE IM NOT GONNA RUN 4 LAPS AROUND THAT BIG FIELD THATS BIGGER THAN MY ELEMENTARY'S TRACK . Tomorrow is my orientation which is sad since i have to face crazy ahh this is gonna be awkward

BUT! I have friends....older than me and a one younger but i have a few friends in my grade especially my old classmates and my cousin! So that's cool I guess. Hopefully i will survive middle school wish me luck!

My school hates when we stand up at lunch and will go so far as to give us a //HYUDED// detention and an assigned seat if you are caught standing up for a few mins. They're acting like we aren't already sitting down for the entire day, its stupid. Plus, literally every 5 seconds they're like "gEt uR lUnCh aNd SiT dOwN" like we didn't hear them the first hundred times (or not care)

Plus, one day last year I got a lunch detention for standing up. The teacher said that I "wasn't following directions and she could have called an administrator to take me out the room for " insubordination" Also yeah, this is all real. The first time I was standing, I was just standing. The second time, I got back up and she told me to sit down. Then the third time I WASNT EVEN STANDING FULLY, I WAS HALF STANDING AND WRITING ON MY DESK! DOING WORK. That's when she apparently had enough and wrote me a detention slip and said something like "I cOuLd hAvE wRiTtEn yOu uP fOr iNsUbOrDiNaTiOn" like I cared at all. This just shows how the system tries to make us worker robots bro. They act like we don't sit down all day and then want to punish us for simply being free. This is why I fr hate school so much bro. Smh.
