Wildest Dreams |Chapter 2: Fragile

I swear I saw a flicker of regret across his face as he fell from the three story tall house.

The trees paid him no mercy, scratching him with their thorny branches and causing blood to flow like a river from Joel's many wounds.

I shrieked, even louder than earlier, and ran down the stairs. His dad and his siblings were all going shopping. If that idiot gets himself killed, I thought, his family will have lost Joel and his mom. When I reached the bottom floor and raced outside to the backyard, he was covered in gashes, and scrapes, and cuts, and bruises... I looked at his chest. My heart swelled with relief when I saw he was still breathing. I grabbed my first aid kit from my backpack and wrapped him up in so many bandages, he looked like a mummy. Using all my strength, I lifted him like he was a damsel in distress, which in a way, he was.

I called his dad and told him to come home ASAP.

I set Joel down gingerly on the sofa. I wiped the tears and sweat from my eyes. I would've slapped him for his stupidity if he wasn't already so injured.

Instead, I called him a few choice words.

After screaming and yelling at him, I grew tired and laid down on his chest. Joel hadn't spoken, which really concerned me. He stroked my nose with his pinkie, the way he did to calm me down. "You dummy, I hate you so much." I told him, then started sobbing uncontrollably. Of course, I got terrified when the door opened so hard it slammed into the wall, probably cracking it, and Joel's dad (followed by all 4 siblings) ran to the couch he was on. I yelped when his dad grabbed him by the arm and pulled him to his feet. "WHAT HAPPENED?!"

Joel and I both explained. I wanted to lie, but figured it would be better to come clean. I will have to admit, I almost started bawling. Joel's dad grabbed his phone and dialed a number.

After a brief phone call, he told his son;

"They'll get you tomorrow. We're sending you to a mental facility."Suddenly, Joel gasped. He fell backwards and never got up again.

So last week at our bible study there was this really cute boy I didn't have a chance to talk to him bc my mom ran us out really quickly, but he looked nice. The problem is that I already have a crush on another guy, and I can't really choose between them there both cool, but I think I have more hope with this one bc the other one seems to hate me. So, what should I do?

And other thing I meet this really nice girl at youth group she was watching some kids and we started talking (she's not going to youth she was babysitting) she is really nice and funny! How do I get to know her better when I don't even know when I will see her?

And other thing I REALLY want an IPod touch to listen to music on I have enough money to buy one, but I don't know how to get my parents to let me buy one I get so flustered when I try to explain why I want something and then I end up crying and ruin it all how to I convince them?

Sorry for that long rant thanks if you read all that!

Soooo, I've been thinking....

Okay, so first things first- I go to a private school, and it's Pre K-12. There is two buildings on one campus, and 7th-12th grade is at one. Anyways, that is the one my brother and I go to- he is in 8th, I'm a freshman. Now, we have a couple middle school/ high school mixed classes- I have theater, which is one of them. My brother and I both have this class, and a couple of his friends that are his age (I'm the only highschooler RIP). Sooooo, here's the thing... I think- well, let me rephrase that- I have a crush on my younger brother's friend. Who is a year younger than me.

I'm so freaking embarressed.

This isn't his actual name, but we will call him Dustin. Dustin is super cute- I just totally fell in love with him, and I don't know why. Actually, I probably do. He's so cute I feel like I just melt when I see him oh my Lord He's got this eye-twitching/ wink thing, and at first I was like, "woah weird" (I never said anything though!) but now I just think it's adorable. I'm a simp. How did this happen? (My FYP on Tiktok thinks I'm a Wilbur simp lol why would it ever think that??)

My brother first introduced us at the homecoming football game last October. We kinda just cracked a couple of jokes with my brother, and then I had to go cheer. I never really saw him much after that- sometimes in the hall, but for some odd reason, it was rare. My bro would always tell me about all the hilarious things he, Dustin, and the bois had been doing in class.

So, now it's second semester. The three of us have theater now, and it is a BLAST. My brother, Dustin and I hang out all the time in that class, and ever since we've gotten to know each other better (including swapping some slightly, er, bad(?) secrets with eachother lol), I am just head over heels for him. I think he's got a great personality (actually that's what I noticed first about him), and hey, bonus points, he can play drums and guitar (Lord I love guitar)!

Okay, here's the catch- he's got a girlfriend. I feel so bad saying this, but I've met her, and I totally feel like I can top her- but, disclaimer! I would never, EVER steal another girl's dude! I would feel so bad :( She is his age, so that's another thing.

One day in theater, Dustin asked my bro if I liked him. Ofc, bro-code, my brother said "no."

Now, some plus sides! I've been saying he should come to a basketball, game, and he usually doesn't go, because they are usually away games, and no one wants to drive an hour, I guess. Anyways, last night, he finally came to one!! :D He drove (well, actually his older bruh did lol) four hours to go to a basketball game, in which he generally didn't do. He sat up in the bleachers for the first half, but when he saw and came up to me at half time, he moved to the first row. He always did the crowd cheers with me an watched me (that sounds creepy lollll) .We would just smile at eachother after the game :)

Anyways, you think I have a chance?? Idk, I feel like this is dumb. Should I go for it? Relationships between highschoolers an middleschoolers are strictly forbidden at my school (even though it would only be a year difference)... Anything? Any advice??
