It allows you to follow specific threads and get notification&nbsp;alerts even if you did not participate in the topic.&nbsp;When there are any updates to a followed thread, you will see a notification alert. You just need to check the "follow post" checkbox (see image below). <br> <br>You can also just click the Star located next to all questions in the blue bar to follow a post and get notifications. This also adds it to your favorites list.&nbsp; <br> <br>Finally, there is a setting&nbsp;in your profile to also get email alerts&nbsp;about any post updates that you follow or if you get an @ mention.
