It was 3 years since March 5th 1770 AKA ''the Boston Massacre'' (the Boston Massacre wasn't really a massacre at all, the patriots labeled it that to make the colonists turn on the royal crown) and the Patriots were looking for ways to assault the king. They sent Ben Franklin to ask parliment (once again) to drop the taxes. Instead of telling him no, they said ''sure''. But they didn't let go of all the taxes. They kept the tea tax. The patriots didn't like this at all. So one night the Sons of Liberty met in the Green Dragon Tavern to discuss some plans. The plan was when the 3 british (the Dartmouth, the Eleanor, and the Beaver) ships landed harbor, they would dress up as Mohawk Indians and board the 3 ships to dump 342 chests of tea into the boston harbor.. As the ships were about to dock, the Patriots sent Francis Rotch to ask the loyalist governor to send the ships back to England. But the governor said no to Francis. When the patriots got the news they went along with the plan. A few hours later 342 chests of tea were floating out into the ocean. In response to this the King sent more troops into Boston, and closed the Harbor. The king ordered the troops to arrest Samuel Adams, and John Hancock. The king then told them to go to Lexington Green, and Concord to burn down the town. When the Sons of Liberty heard of this, they tasked Joseph Warren with coming out with a plan to warn Sam, John, and the people of Lexington and Concord.
