Chapter One

Maldor's Proposal

He wore a thick, purple robe with golden gems down the side, a black crown that shone through the night darkness placed on his bald head. He was known as Maldor, the king of all evil.

Maldor was in a hurry; that was no doubt. He walked fast, his legs picking up speed the closer he got to the palace. The palace: It had to be more than 100 years old. It was gray and crumbling but it still stood with great structure, for it was royalty.

Maldor knocked on the great palace gate, the sound echoing throughout the nearby land. He waited and waitsed until the door slowly opened. The guards bowed down to him, because although they are not in good terms, Maldor is still considered royalty. Maldor nodded and walked through the great palace, looking up at the old paintings from different generations that have ruled the great land of Eldoria.

He saw a painting of a young women, and it said: "Queen Susanna, ruled 1534-1600" . And another: "King Eric, ruled 1123-1132" .

Maldor kept walking, not wanting to get distracted. He wanted what he wanted, and he did not let  anything stop him.

King George sat in his golden throne, not expecting to see his great enemy, Maldor, after nearly 4 years.

"Come forth," exclaimed King George .

Maldor came forth.

King George, with his ill mannered temper, slammed his fist on the side of the throne. "What could ye possibly want?"

Maldor did not answer at first. He looked George up and down, then finally said in a rusty voice, "I want to make a little proposal."

King George knew this was a bad sign. "No."

Maldor raised his eyebrow. "I want to be on good terms with your kingdom. We can join forces. Make our own army."

George shook his head. "Out of the question. After your darn kingdom killed half my army in our last battle, you think I would forgive you? That's outrageous and preposterous."

Maldor sighed. "Now, I don't expect to be forgiven right away; in fact, it's the quite opposite, what I expect. You don't even need to agree with me. Just think it through and give me an answer by next week."

George thought. "Well, all right. But don't expect a yes."

Maldor nodded, cracking a smile . "Oh, I know. Trust me."

Ya'll, I know that was short, but do you like it? I'm really excited to write more chapters!
