BibleStudy- LessonOne: TheEarth'sBirth

Question

According to the Bible the Earth was created in six days. First God separated the light from the darkness. Then He made land cut through the water. Then He created sea and land animals.Last, He created us. We are made in His own Image. Are each creation, God announced "and it was good". The seventh day was for resting.

That was the first lesson of BibleStudy!

Everyone says God made the world in one day but that is untrue as God rested on the seventh day

I know this is 3 years old, but whatever. I have an answer. 

1. We don’t know how long it took for God to make the earth. We know the Bible says it took 6 days, but nobody was alive back then to keep track of time. It could’ve taken six million years or something. 
2. The story of creation was an example of an oral tradition. The spoken story was passed down from generation to generation, and the story could’ve changed without us knowing, a little bit at a time until it became 6 days. 
3. Back to number 1, if it took God 6 million years to make the earth, that would mean he rested for a million years... I wanna rest that long! XD

You have your own belief on how you think it worked, and of course, I respect that. :)

However, in Christian beliefs, we go off the Bible. Now, I don't know your religion or anything, so I don't want to put you down on what you think is real or not.

In the Bible, since that is what Christians believe in, we think the Earth WAS made in six days and he rested the seventh day. We don't believe it took millions of years to happen because the Bible says it didn't.

I'm not telling you that your belief is wrong or shouldn't be talked about, but I'm just saying that that isn't what I believe happened, however we are two different people.

I am christian. I was just pointing out the fact that we have no idea how many generations the oral stories were passed down.
