What came first, the color or the fruit?

Why are strawberries called strawberries if there's no straw in the berry?

Are pineapples called pineapples because they are just pine cone apples?

Why is an eggplant called an eggplant if it doesn't have eggs in it? And why is it purple?

If Elo has 13 Stickmen, and Joel has 14 Gummy worms, how many do they have in all put together?

Eggplants are called eggplants because they look like eggs when they are first growing.
