and in tears of the kingdom it's explained that with a secret stone you can become a dragon, so it really does make sense

bruh both the oracles and the dragons are named after the three godesses of the series. Din, Nayru, and Farore. the oracle names are literally a direct copy at least the dragons tried bro

in the beginning of the timeline, the 3 godesses of the zelda universe, Din, Nayru, and farore, created hyrule and basically the zelda universe. when they left they created the triforce. in several games there are characters named after them, for example these 3 random girls from 2 gameboy zelda games, and the dragons from breath of the wild.
