Question

Hi Kidzsearch, remember you guys were planning on making KidzArt? When will there be some new things on KS,KN,KT, etc.?

We are currently working on our core features, such as improving our search results and a better encyclopedia (wiki). However, once these are done we have new products coming out. KidzArt will happen. It will be a bit like Pinterest and give you the ability to even sell/trade your art.

I don't want a third social network to have to check everyday. Plus how could we sell our art? Mail it? A buying and selling website doesn't seem kid friendly. Can't we just make a kidzart CATEGORY on kidztalk as an alternative?

We already have an Art Category on KidzTalk to submit original art, but it does not get many posts. However, it is not easy to find. We just created a KidzArt category at the top for now and will see how it does. This is not a replacement for our official KidzArt project. Things posted on it can get migrated to the platform later.

We are still working out the details with KidzArt. Sites like Etsy specialize in buying/selling art online. The buying part would be really for parents and adults who want to purchase crafts. Kids might also see things they like or want to trade. For safety, only a parent/guardian would be allowed to do the actual buying/selling, but kids can submit their art. In some cases it might just be a picture of some special craft they made for sale.

I’m fairly sure they’ve stopped working on KidzArt, but I wish they hadn’t. I have friends on Amino and DeviantArt who do art-trades and it looks like sooo much fun, but I am not allowed to have those apps, and I’m constantly hoping that they’ll get re-motivated to complete kidzart :)
