Josh Evans is a famous YouTuber today who is known for his talent as a singer, actor, funny man and all around nice guy. Josh was just at vidcon. One thing you know for sure about Josh is that his works hard to be himself everyday. Being authentic is how he lives his life. "To be honest" is a lifelong pursuit that he began on his journey of self discovery.

His early life was filled with the same kind of stuff all kids go through. He was surrounded and supported by a great family, was encouraged to explore things that made him happy and that he did. He explored these things so hard that he often got hurt doing them.

When he was a little baby siting in his highchair, his grandmother was watching him and for a moment, turned around. That's when he decided he'd try dancing. He danced so hard in his high chair that he fell over and broke his arm. This would not be the first time he broke an arm.

Then when he was four years old, he was playing on the playground watching everyone have so much fun; the time of their lives. He thought to himself, "I can do that." So he got on the monkey bars way up in the air and was hanging. Suddenly he decided to let go and you guessed it, broke his arm AGAIN!.

Time passed, and Josh fell in love with baseball. He wanted to be a baseball player. He joined a team and while he may not have been particularly good at baseball or a good athlete, he did what Josh ALWAYS does, he gave it his all, with style.

He get up to bat at the game. swings and hits the ball and it goes into the outfield. He runs toward first base and slides into the base and he hears it again, "SNAP!" A broken arm. He broke his arm a third time! And with this third break, he began to question baseball. He was not very good, he did not like baseball practice and thought that the only way he could have friends and a social life, he'd have to play sports.

He got a cast and waited for his arm to heal. When it did heal, he went back and continued to play. Fast forward until 13 years old, he's sporting a "butt cut" hair cut and is back up at home plate read for a pitch during his time at bat. The pitch comes and he hits it again, crushes it. He runs to first base, and the first base coach tells him to round first base and go to second base. He slides into second base and was safe. He was shocked, he did not beak his arm. The coach waved him around, told him to keep going and he ran to third base.

He put his arm down to slid into third base and for the fourth time in his life, he broke his arm. "I broke my arm" but he did not cry." He was just grumpy and mad that is happened again. He discovered something life changing when occurred to him...."What makes me happy? What do I truly love?" He did not really have to ask himself, "who am I?".

The answer to those questions came easily to Joshua David Evans He loved to entertain people, to act and to perform. So he made big decision when he turned 18 years old to move to New York City and pursue being an entertainer, actor and singer. It became crystal clear that weather he was dancing in his high chair, playing baseball, making a vlog or a music video, "that's me", that's Josh Evans. "These are the things love."

He learned a valuable lesson about himself, "I don't need to fit in, I need to be myself and I'll be happy." And happy for Josh is to entertain, make people happy, make his family happy and make himself happy. As Josh says "really listen to who you are". Being honest with yourself, being authentic and embracing who you helped him in "finding my true love". And "be nice to people."
