Question

Why could the old NightWing queen communicate with other NightWings if their powers didn't work if they were born on the volcano island? Or was it only the dragon that represented the queen had powers? ???? im confused here

Wdym? Sorry, I keep reading this question but don't understand it, even though I've read the whole series multiple times and have been a fan for years. Are you talking about Queen Battlewinner, the NightWing queen that ended up getting IceWing frostbreath in her throatnand was forced to live in a pot of lava for the rest of her life? Or Queen Glory, who ruled the NightWings and RainWings after she rescued them from their exploding home? And what exactly do you mean by "powers"? Are you perhaps referring to the fact that some NightWings (those born under 2-3 full moons) have mind reading and/or future seeing capabilities?

I am just utterly confused, can you maybe elaborate a bit more?

In book 4 we meet Queen Battlewinner who is "extremely private" and no one had ever seen her before. She transferred her requests THROUGH stone to another dragon without speaking. Even Mastermind was able to do this, even though he did not have the inherited NightWing powers. Transferring thoughts isn't one of the NightWing powers. We also know that the queen did not have NightWing powers, either, since we assume she was born on the island. SO HOW COULD SHE TRANSFER HER THOUGHTS
