Also, I agree with Elo. All of the YA books are either fantasies that feel AI generated, very lovey-dovey romances or horror. And I don't read those 3 genres (I only read 2 genres. You know)

The book starts a bit slow, but it gets very scary later. The author is coming out with the sequel in 2024. I can't wait. Try not to get any spoilers......

Oh, and my most favorite book of all time is called Turn of the key, by Ruth Ware. This book seriously scared me. I do not get scared that bad very easily. I thought about keeping the lights on at night. I highy recomend it. Great book.
