ve! Come back here! We have iced tea and cookies!”
All Steve’s kids ran up to the friend that said that and said “Cookies?!”
Steve said “Well… fine!”
Steve’s friends made all of them hot dogs and the kids ate them and said “Cookies!”
Everyone got a cookie. Steve took a bite of the cookie and it felt like a party on his taste buds.
Steve said “Geez! This is the best cookie I’ve ever eaten! Got to tell me the recipe!”
“I’ll text you it” said one of his friends.
Once everyone was done thor cookie, Steve’sfriends said “Today is a family hang out day. You hang out with your family.”
Noor said “Steve, you ready to help build a huge sand castle?”
“Sure!”
Steve then began to dig up sand.
Once everyone had gotten a stack, Noor said “Okay, build your part!”
Steve began to build a turret and when he ran out of sand, stopped.
Once everyone was done, it was time to go back home.
Steve got in the car first and said “Wow, that was fun!”
Steve’s friends said “So sorry you couldn’t hang out with us today. We were planning out the activity for tomorrow”
“All good”
That night for dinner they had steak.
Once dinner was done, one of his friends brought out a plate of cupcakes.
Steve said “Aww guys, you can stop spoiling me.”
Alex said “What’s better is tomorrow-”
One of Steve’s friends cut her off and said “Shut up Alex! We want to keep it secret from him!”
Alex nodded and said “I get it. You don’t want to ruin the surprise.”
That night, Efe came into Steve and Alex’s room and said “Guys, hate to bother you but I had a nightmare that yu wee blown up by a creeper.”
Steve said “Perfect vacation ruined!”
Efe started to cry and said “I can’t help it! I’m sorry.”
Alex said “Steven Sylvester Stonecutter! Apologize this minute!”
Steve said “Efe, I’m sorry. Get in bed with us”
Efe wiggled up in between Alex and Steve and went to sleep. Steve and Alex went to sleep soon after.
The next morning, Steve woke up and headed downstairs.
Steve’s friends laughed and said “There you are! We were worried you had died.”
Steve said “Yeah. Sorry, ‘bout that”
“All good. No, seriously, we were worried we would have to do today’s activity without you!” and laughed.
One of his friends said “How rude of all of us! We’ve forgotten to introduce ourselves! I’m Kathy.”
Another said “I’m Bob”
Another said “I’m Harry”
“I’m Tristan”
“Crystal”
“Chip!”
“Karen!”
“Doug”
Steve said “Sorry ‘bout not introducing you guys.”
“All good,” said Doug.
Steve said “So, I’ve heard talk of going somewhere other than the beach today.”
“Maybe”
Steve then served his pancakes and he ate them up.
After that, his friends said “Ready to go?”
“Yeah”
Everyone got back in the car and when they passed the beach, Steve said “We passed the beach.”
Alex said “Maybe that’s not where we’re going.”
When the car stopped at an amusement park, Steve said “Why would I want to go here?”
“You can play games all day or ride rides with your friends all day. Also I used your dream journal to help me” and pulled out the dream journal.
Steve said “Aww guys. Thanks for this. I forgot I wanted to go here!”
All the kids said "We want to hang out with Steve!”
Steve said “Okay. You also have to hang out with my friends.”
Alex said “So, nothing to do?”
“You could always hang out with me”
“Good!”
Zuri then said “Steve! Look at that!” and pointed at an epic roller coaster.
Steve said “Aww. Zuri, I’m quite frankly a little scared of that.”
Zuri said “Come on! It may just look like that from a distance.”
“Fine!”
Kathy pulled out the 17 tickets and they got in.
Steve said “Geez! This place is awesome!”
Zuri said “Can we go on that cool ride?” and pointed at one with a super long line
Steve said, “Umm, the line's too long!”
Bob said “We got you the line skip pass”
Steve grabbed his pass and ran to the front of the line with the rest of his group. By the time he was up at the top, he was instantly let on with his group. The ride started and when it got to the top, Steve said “Yeah, I want to get off”
Zuri said “Come on!”
Then the ride started to spin.
Steve yelled “Stop the ride!”
Nobody did that.
When the ride went in a loop while spinning, Steve hollered “Stop the ride!”
Nobody did.
By the end of the ride, Steve couldn’t even walk in a straight line.
Tristan said “Steve! I was so worried while you were there! You think you got it?”
“I think I’ll just catch up on my PvP news while sitting on benches near the rides you’re going to go on. I’ve had enough fun and excitement for a long time!”
Crystal said “Why not go on the kiddy rides?”
“Good idea”
Ari said “Crystal! Please no!”
“Guys! We want Steve to be happy! We’ll let him!”
Zuri said “Please no!”
“Fine! But, if I can’t go anywhere tomorrow, imma blame you”
“Fine by me!”
Then Zuri pulled Steve to the creeper simulator ride.
Steve gulped and said “Okay”
Everyone got on and the ride started. By the end everyone was shaking with fear.
Zuri said “Yeah… I think we should go on a kiddy ride next.”
Alex said “It wasn’t that bad.”
Steve sarcastically said “Sure it wasn’t” “You screamed loudest”
Kathy said “Come on. Lunch time!””
Alex said “You guys go ahead. I’ll catch up with you guys.”
Steve said “I thought it wasn’t scary!”
“No. I just need some time to catch my breath.”
Steve said “Honey, it’s okay if you’re scared, tell me.”
“I may be just a teensy bit scared”
“I’ll help you.”
Steve wrapped his arm around Alex and helped her get to the food court.
When Zuri saw one of the restaurants that was there, she said “Can we go there?”
Seve looked where she was pointing and said “Yeah sure, whatever. Only if all your other siblings are okay with it”
Everyone but Ari said “sure”
Steve said “I’m sorry Zuri, Ari said no so, we will not go.”
Ari said “Can we go there?”
“Only if everyone else wants to go there.”
Everyone but Zuri said “yeah”
Steve said “Nope!”
Alex said “There?”
Steve nodded and said “Okay”
All the kids crossed their arms and said “She can pick with nobody agreeing and we can’t?!”
Alex said “I’m an adult and Steve loves me and I hated that creeper simulator ride! It was way too scary for me!”
Steve said “Yeah”
Then they headed towards the restaurant and ordered lunch.
Everyone ordered the nacho platter.
Alex said “Steve! You ordered the veggie! There is no meat on it at all.”
Steve’s friends looked at Alex and said “Yeah and?”
“He has meat at every meal. Breakfast he always has bacon or sausage or sometimes ham. At launch, he has some kind of meat sandwich. At dinner he always has some type of meat whether it be from his breakfast category or lunch one or an entirely different one. I’m quite frankly a little worried about you right now Steve!”
Steve said “Can’t a man try to eat a little healthier?”
Alex said “Yeah. I mean I wanted you to start to eat healthier but not cut meat out of your diet for a meal entirely!”
Steve said “Chill Alex. It's not entirely for lunch. In a few years it may hae stopped completely.”
Alex said “Oh. So, when will you stop eating your breakfast meats? They are a pain to cook because the littles are always bothering me about breakfast.”
Steve said “Oh. Maybe after it’s phased out at lunch.”
Alex said “Aww. You’re finally taking my criticisms seriously and trying to improve yourself.”
“Yeah!”
Then their meals came.
Steve saw Kahy’s meat loaded ones and he bagan to drool.
Alex said “Welp, I knew it wouldn’t last!”
Steve looked away and started to eat his.
When he was done, he said “What I wouldn’t do for some meat right now! Even just one bit of bacon would work!”
Kathy was about to give Steve one of her nachos when Alex said “No! Don’t do it Kathy! He’s going to live longer if he does this! This is the first step to form a habit!”
Kathy said “Steve, don’t worry. Tonight we’ll have chicken stuffed pork.”
Alex said “No! I will control his diet now! No more meat at dinner tonight or tomorrow at breakfast or lunch! I want him to go a full day without meat! I know he can do it.” and kissed Steve on the cheek.
Steve said “Woah. One meal I can do but an entire 24 hours?! No way!”
“Please? I’m trying to make you live longer and how much meat you eat isn’t good for you. In fact your doctor has repeatedly said to eat less meat! Please. Just a day. That’s all I ask.”
Sunny said “Hey Alex, how do you know this?”
“He makes me come with him to the doctor because he’s afraid of them.”
“Oh”
Tristan said “Hey Steve, why not set up a challenge for yourself? How many meals can you go without eating meat.”
Alex said “Great idea Tristan! He only eats meat at meals.”
Steve said “Okay.”
Alex said “So, I’ll have to change my family’s meal plans for the foreseeable future?”
“Yeah”
“All good.”
Zuri said “But, I have to have meat every day!”
“Don’t worry Zuri. You’ll still be able to. Just Steve who won’t be able to”
Steve said “Everyone else can and I can’t?! That is unfair!”
“Yeah. How bout this Steve. When we get home, we look through my old recipes not involving meat and you pick some that sound good to you?”
Steve said “Okay.” and sighed.
Then the bill came and Steve saw how much it was and said “Geez! Mine was the most expensive?!”
Alex said “Yeah sorry bout that”
Then Alex paid and they left.
Steve said “So guys, I’ve been meaning to ask how could you afford all this stuff for me?”
Alex said “I know. I’ll tell you later”
“Now or the challenge is off!”
“They had to sell most of their possessions and three of their respawns”
“Do they all have a house?”
“Yeah.”
Then Noor pointed at a ride and Steve saw how far up it went and said “Nope! I read that one is unsafe!”
Alex said “I’ll go with you while Steve sits out.”
Steve sighed and said “Yeah. I’ll go with you.”
After the ride, it was time to go home.
For dinner, Steve had mushroom stew. Everyone else had pork.
Steve said “What I wouldn’t give for just a bit of that delicious pork”
Zuri was about to give him a bite when Alex said “No Zuri! He;s starting a better life!”
After dinner, Steve’s friends said “Ready.”
The next morning, Steve woke up to the smell of bacon.
Steve mindlessly wandered down the stairs and said “Can I please have some bacon?”
Alex said “Steve! No! At least a full day!”
Steve sighed and said “Fine”
Alex said I’ve prepared a special breakfast for you”
“What is it?”
“Toast”
“Yum!” and got handed the toast.
Steve nibbled the toast and then slowly ate it. Everyone else got bacon.
Alex said “Oh my gosh! This is the most yummy bacon I’ve ever eaten!”
Steve grasped his head and yelled “I can’t take it anymore! Gimme my bacon!”
Alex said “Fine! I guess one slice couldn’t hurt.” and handed Steve some bacon.
Tristan said “And he made it for two meals. Good start!”
Steve wolfed down the bacon and then took some more from the table and then burped. Then he knew he was done.
Tristan said “Steve, I’m sorry, we only planned enough activities for three days.”
Alex said “Good thing I had a few plans in case of an emergency.”
Steve looked at Alex and said “Did you ask them?”
“Actually they asked me to plan out a few extra activities. In case they couldn’t find any more. They asked me after you went to bed on the first night we were here!”
Tristan said “What is today’s?”
“I was thinking” Alex got super close to Tristan’s ear and whispered “Waterpark” quietly as possible.
“Good idea! I know it must be hard for you not to tell Steve these activities.”
Alex said “Let me tell you a secret. I don’t really care for Steve anymore. He was nice when we first married. But now, he forces our kids to take PvP classes which all of them clearly hate. The only one that seems to even like them is Zuri. Also, I’m getting mighty sick of finding his dirty socks all over the floor. If he doesn’t straighten up, we’re done!”
Steve then ran to Alex and Alex said “You heard all that didn’t you?”
Steve nodded.
Zuri then said “Actually Alex, I hate PvP. I’m only pretending to like it to make Steve happy”
Alex looked over at Steve who was gritting his teeth.
Alex said “Also, he always has bad breath. He never gets me anything for my birthday or anyone’s birthday for that matter. He rarely remembers our anniversary and he makes me clean the rabbit cage every week and makes me groom the bunny by myself. And worst of all, he never cleans the dishes after he eats the sloppier meats!”
Steve said “You know I can’t clean dishes! Remember?!”
“No!”
“Well, I’m allergic to dish soap!”
“I hate the excuses you’re coming up with! As soon as we get home, it’s over!”
“What if I-”
“I don’t care if you become my dream guy! It’s over!”
Steve said “Please one more month?”
“Fine! But, you have to make your breath not stink for that entire time. Drop the kid’s PvP classes. And, don’t throw any of your socks on the ground that whole time, there’s a chance this may work!”
Steve nodded and said “So, where are we going today?”
Alex said “Nowhere now!”
Ari said “Please take us somewhere.”
Tristan said “Alex, how about we take him to a PvP game?”
“I know he’d like that!”
Steve said “Yeah. And Alex, all this time you've been secretly resenting me?!”
“Pretty much”
Zuri’s jaw dropped and said “I don’t want my parents to split up!”
All the other kids said “Yeah! Same!”
Alex said “Kids, may it be our only choice now. Steve is just not even trying to keep us together.”
Steve then said “Umm the PvP game starts in ten minutes.
Everyone went to the car and headed to the PvP game. They arrived just before the ticket stand closed.
The person at the tickets said “Oh Steve. This game is for beginning legends only like Zuri.”
Zuri said “I don’t like this! Everyone knows my name and I actually hate PvP!”
The person at the gate said “Steve, do any of your kids like PvP? If not, your legacy will be surrendered to the family of the one that wins the battle.”
Steve said “Yeah! Ari does. She’s just not in the mood for it now.”
Ari said “No I don’t!”
Steve sighed and said “Fine! None of them do! Just don’t make me surrender the legacy!”
The person said “We’re afraid we have to. You can have any one of your kids participate and if they do typical behaviors of a young PvP legend in a battle and you won’t need to surrender your legacy”
Zuri said “I’ll do it.”
Steve said “Zuri! If you don’t want to, you don’t have to. My legacy has made me do some things I’m not proud of.”
“Like slaying Bob, Tristan and Harry?”
“I didn’t kill them! Kathy told me something else.”
Alex said “Steve, time I tell you the bitter truth about how they died.”
Steve said “No! I prefer to live the lie!”
Alex said “Yet another reason you and I can’t work anymore.”
Steve sighed and said “Okay. Tell me after the battle.”
Alex nodded and said “Okay. Would you also like to know the bitter truth about Stephanie too?”
Steve started to cry and said “I haven’t thought of her in many many years.. Tell me after the battle.”
Alex nodded and said “Okay”
Steve said “Okay, Zuri, remember young legends are always smiling really big and doing everything super fast. Got it? We may go out for ice cream after we get home!”
“Yay!”
Zuri then ran inside to her assigned area.
Steve was beginning to reconsider if he should’ve staked his entire family legacy on how his kid acted in the battle.
By the time the battle started, Steve was biting his nails and muttering “My legacy is doomed!”
