The next morning was the kids first day of school and Alex gently woke up Steve by letting light shine in.
Steve just put on his sleep mask and went back to sleep.
Noor then entered the room and said “Can I wake him up?”
Alex said “Noor, go back upstairs with the rest of your siblings.”
All the kids went upstairs and Alex pulled on Steve’s sleep mask and let go.
Steve pulled off his sleep mask and went back to sleep.
Alex then said “Okay Steve, I didn’t want to do this but I have no choice.:
And filled a bowl with ice water. She brought the ice water over to him and dipped his hand in it.
Steve rolled over and said “Leave me alone!”
Alex then ripped the blanket off Steve and said “Don’t you want to see Zuri on her first day of PvP school?”
Steve said “Yeah”
Steve slowly got up and said “Alright”
Alex yelled “Kids! Come down!”
Noor came down ready to head to school and Alex said “Aww Noor, if you remember, your school doesn’t start until tomorrow”
Zuri then came down dressed all nice.
Before Steve saw Zuri, Alex said “Aww Zuri, you know you can’t wear that to your school”
Steve then looked over at Zuri and said “Is that allowed to be worn?”
Zuri yelled “It’s my uniform!”and said “I know this will be the worst experience ever! This school will stink worse than Steve’s taste in style! And I’ll get in trouble because of how strict they are!” in PvP language.
Steve said “Zuri! I speak that language very fluently! You better apologize!”
Zuri just stood there nodding.
Steve then noticed she was listening to music.
Steve yanked out the earbuds and said “Apologize now!”
“You understood me?!”
“Yeah! I speak the PvP language fluently!”
“Sorry Steve”
Steve said “Aww Zuri, I think your bus is here!”
Alex said “Steve, Efe, Ari, Makenna and Kai, that’s your bus.”
Steve said “Wait what?!” purely confused.
Alex said “Did I say Steve? I meant Sunny.”
All those kids said “Yay!” and ran out the door holding their lunches.
About a quarter hour later, another bus came and someone came out and rang the doorbell.
Steve answered it and said “Hello? Do you work for the PvP council?”
The person said “Don't you play dumb with me! Steve You’re getting thrown into the void in the end!
Alex jumped in front of Steve and said “No! He has done nothing wrong! Take me instead.”
Steve said “One minute sir.” and laughed.
He pulled Alex to a wall and leaned her against it and said “This is very serious! If you die under these circumstances, they have a special way of making sure you never see your family again and never leave the end ever. Do you really want that?!”
Alex said “No. How long is this one?”
“Forever” and gritted his teeth.
Alex said “Fine, accept the punishment. But first ask what you did wrong.”
“No! That will only make me have to be thrown into a lava pit in the nether and have to live in lava for the rest of eternity. Please, trust me, I’m going to be okay. If I can call you, I’ll call you every night.”
Zuri said “Steve, I have read about this, whenever something gets this severe, there’s only one way for a legend to escape doing it.”
“What is it?”
“Permanently surrender their legacy”
Steve said “But, my legacy is everything to me!”
Alex said “But is it really worth never seeing or even communicating with them again?!”
Steve sighed and said “Yes.”
Alex said “Now I know how twisted you are. I hope you need to get thrown into the void and land in lava!”
Steve then went to the door and said “Ready”
Then the person led him to the bus and sat him down next to pretty much everyone that did PvP as their job.
The person next to Steve tapped Steve on the shoulder and said “Do you know why we’re here?”
Steve said “I have no clue. Also, I have a horrible feeling that we aren’t supposed to be talking and my family will fall to pieces within a week.”
Everyone looked at Steve and said “You have a family?! Geez now we know how serious they are about gathering everyone that ever does PvP.”
Steve said “So, they’ll eventually get my kid Zuri in here?! Oh no! What have I done!?”
Then someone else got on and they looked like a griefer and the griefer said “Listen up dweebs! You’re all here to be thrown into the void and live there forever! You can text one family member once every five years! But other than that, no communicating with family members!”
While the door was open, Steve tried to make a run for freedom but was blocked off.
Steve sighed and said “I know the punishment for me will now be worse. Take me to the lava pit of punishment.”
The one who blocked him off said “You really know your punishments! We’ll tell you what, if you can survive a month in each of the top three punishment levels without complaining, we’ll let you go.”
Steve sighed and said “And if I complain?”
“We get to PvP your entire family against each other and we’ll throw the winner into the permanent death chamber.”
Steve sighed and said “No! I would prefer spending eternity in the lava pit!”
Everyone gasped and said “Really?”
Steve sat back down and said “Yes!”
The griefer then left.
An hour later they arrived at the void portal.
Steve sighed and said “I know I have to stay and go to the lava pits”
Someone that passed Steve said “I feel so bad for you for having to go to the lava pits”
Steve said “I said I prefer that to the void one!”
Then the person left and Steve said “How often can I call my family?”
“Never! You can only text one member of your family once every seven years.”
Steve cried and said “So, I’ll never hear Alex’s sweet voice again?!”
The person who told him how many times he could talk to his family said “You have one full day of texting every six months.”
Then the driver said “Steve, we’re going to the lava pits now. If you want the void, speak now.”
Steve sighed and said “My life will be horrible either way. But, with the void it will be slightly less so. I have decided the void.”
Steve then cautiously stepped into the void portal. When he got into the void, he instantly felt like he had been frozen solid. A few minutes later, he saw pretty much every PvP legend ever.
Steve said “Why am I here? What did I do? Why is it so cold?”
Steve then remembered an article he read a while ago about the void punishment.
Steve said “Oh no. I can either spend the rest of my life on this platform or jump into the void and lose everything.”
Steve sighed and said “I’m going to jump”
Someone then ran over to Steve and pulled him away from the edge and said “Steve! You just have to stay here for a few years.
