I was looking at a comment thread about being a parent in the future, so it made me wonder…

If you want kids, how would you raise your kids?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHM

For starters, I would probably get them reading HP and watching Charlie Chaplin early so that maybe they will grow up loving those two things x3

And I would also be very loving and interactive with them, taking them on all kinds of trips and adventures. Just having fun with them in general, because they would be like a new friend :D

I'm still trying to decide whether I would want kids in the future, though...

I'll teach them a lot of things :]

Like I just saw Cheer say, spanking my kids gives them the wrong idea. The completely wrong idea. I'm trying to teach them to be AGAINST violence.

I'd basically raise them how my family's raising me :D

there are some thigns in HP that aren't good for young kids though

WAIT

ARE YOU SAYING THAT YOU ALSO AGREE WITH THE CHAPLIN PART?!

BECAUSE IF YOU DO

WE CAN LIKE

TALK ABOUT IT—

About the HP part, there isn't anything too bad that would really traumatize my kid, I don't think. (Except for the fact that they won't be getting their Hogwarts acceptance letter at 11 x3)

When I was younger I actually thought "Harry Potter" was really good... Like it had good lessons and morals?

Well, it does!

Dumbledore and others have pretty notable quotes :D

And also, I think it teaches you something about friendship, bravery, trust and all of that good stuff... hopefully x3

Hmmm idk

But I want2-3 kids, and I won’t force any of my interests upon  them *blink* Nordic and  mcnerd.  I won Ever physically hit them rather I’d just talk to them about their actions. I won’t obsess over their grades and I’d still be  proud of them no matter what grade they got if they tried.

This may be controversial but contrary to cheers answer, I would probably give them a lot of time on electronics, I would proably get them a tablet when they are 4 or 5 and when their 11 I’ll get them a phone for middle school, and a computer at some point.

But mainly, I want to raise them similar to how my mom raised me. Me and my mom have an extremely close relashinship and I honestly think of my mom as my friend. I love her so much and hate how in middle school basically none tells their moms anything and says they hate them. I want my kids to tell me things and I want to be their friend(but still their parent)

I could either raise them alone, with a wife or with a husband. I have no preference!

This is just my personal opinion, you don’t have to agree with it

I love these questions! Also, why is your stuff buried so fast? Like, I didn't see this for awhile, and it's only been 5 hours as of now since you posted?

I want 2-4 kids, but preferably 3 in the next few years!

Anyways, I would raise my kids like how my mom raised me and my brother! I really like how she did it, and I appreciate it a lot, especially these days.

First, I wouldn't hit, spank, or put my hands on my kid violently. That's just a no-no in my book. Instead, I would rather lecture my children on why their actions or decisions were wrong and/or dangerous so that they can understand themselves why. It'll help develop their self-awareness and help them reflect on themselves (hopefully). If I were to punish them, it may be an extra chore, or being grounded.

I would also not allow electronics such as gaming consoles or phones until high school (unless they absolutely NEED a phone earlier). When they are younger, no internet allowed until they are about in first grade. Also, one thing that is different from what my mom did that I will do is have VERY restricted internet access. I've seen too much, and don't wish that upon my kids in anyway. Although, when I did get unrestricted access with the way that I was raised, I was pretty solid and wasn't too traumatized or shaken (just as a disclaimer lol).

Another thing that I will (hopefully) do differently is raise my kids in the church. I don't currently go to church, and although my mom is a great woman of faith, I never did as a kid either. Every place we went to was strange to us. Both her and I have been looking into an Orthodox church, and I like everything they have said so far about Christianity, so hopefully it can become somewhere that I can bring my kids up in the faith like my mom always wanted to do.

Although not totally her fault, and I have no resentment whatsoever, I would like to have a father around for my kids. I have no idea what it's like having a male lead/partner or father figure in the dynamic, but that's something I don't want for my kids.

Anyways, I could go on and on and on! But thanks for the question, GC!

Let's see mc 30 minutes a day after age 5 (on days matters to mc 1 hr)

Being sick won't be an excuse for not playing mc unless they are too sick to watch tv

Whta r they dot like mc?

Then everything will be halfed (15 min / 30 min)

MCN, you do know that if you force Minecraft down your children's throats then they probably won't like it when they get older, right?

Minecraft is for fun, you're going to make it a chore if you do that.
