I have been summoned
Maybe
First of all, babies do not get cut up during abortions. The mothers take a pill and it basically terminates the fetus (which is more and more complex the farther people are into their pregnancy so it varies from a clump of cells to a full-fledged baby, and whether the fetus feels pain or not is up to debate and no research really supports or denies it)
To be very honest the more I look into abortion the less I want to support it so I’m gonna be as unbiased as possible. People who support abortion support it for reasons like what if a young girl gets forcibly pregnant? Or what if the baby is already doomed to die anyway, so carrying the pregnancy would be pointless? Or what if the mother will die from childbirth? And also, it should be the mother’s choice, not anyone else’s. It is her body and her decision.
But of course theres your opinion where it’s killing a baby, which is morally wrong.
In some ways I feel like you can see peoples opinions from a vaguely related question. If you are a doctor, and you’ve got a mother about to give birth, except due to problems only one can be saved, the baby or the mother. Which one are you saving? I feel like this question really does show peoples opinions on the matter. You can save the mother, who’s lived the longest and has the most connections and experiences but will grieve not having her child she’s carried for 9 months if she survives, or you can save the baby, who’s got their whole life ahead of them and will be motherless (at least biologically)
Two different morals going on here, everyone will take their pick, and everyones gonna think the other side is sick, so idk
