So...2x=110022.  So that means SOMETHING (or the variable x) times two equals 110022.  So you could do this by dividing, right?  So that would mean divide 110,022 by 2.  Which that equals 55,011, which is the answer!  I'm homeschooled BTW, and that's the way we do it, sorry if this different then the way you do it.
