Question

My mother is driving me to drink unhealthy amounts of Kool Aid :(

I’m just mildly annoyed that she’s always saying i gotta get rid of stuff, but she won’t let me get rid of my clothes :| 

She says it’s because i don’t wear a lot of it, but it’s mostly cuz most of my clothes are from when i was younger and none of that stuff is my style anymore  (Im kind of underweight so that’s why i fit into most of my old clothes)… 

AND THERES SO MUCH OF MY OLD CLOTHES ITS FLOODING MY CLOSET HEEEEEEELP 

Bro I don’t wanna dress like my 2022 self that’s just not me anymore 

Why can’t I just donate my old clothes, like I do with everything else?  or hand them down to my sister or my good friendo who probably fits in most of my stuff??? 

Idk but im just annoyed. Any tips?? 

My mom is pretty hard to sway, but ill need all the ideas I can get.

I’m not trying to sound rude so im sorry if i come across as a jerk for whining about this rlly trivial issue

Why is the clothes thing so real though-

My mom let's me get rid of my clothes pretty easily though. Whenever she doesn't I talk to my dad and he let's me 

But fr, I have all these clothes that I don't want to wear lol.. maybe if you buy your own clothes to replace them she'll let you get rid of them.. or if you convince her that you have too many, you don't even use them, they're just taking up space, and your friend could actually use them.

Ik clothes can be expensive, that's probably a factor to why she doesn't want you getting rid of them, but thrift stores come in handy.. I got a few round here where I can get like any piece of clothing for a couple bucks.. it's super cheep. Goodwill is also nice. Ross is more expensive, but you can find nicer stuff there.

Why would your mom force you to drink kool-aid.. that's lwk funny tbh  .. but fr, If it's unhealthy just convince her not to buy so much.. or tell her to drink it herself or offer it to your friends
