what does "boost" actually even do

like be so fr tho, like when you write boost on an answer, does it move it up so people will see it on the latest answers page or does it actually boost something

Boost

Anyways, Boosting/Bumping is basically getting your post on top of the page for others to reaad. I coined the term "boost" back in 2024, while bumping is an older term. It is mostly ineffective, however.

The term boost doesn't actually do anything, but commenting/answering does what Marshall said
