Learning about dimensions are easy so let me explain. 1 dimension is just a projector nothing physical i think. 2D is where its projecting onto another. 3D is  x, y, z giving 3 angles instead of 2, 4D is x, y, z, w, which is time i guess. 

4D is cool cuz u could see future and past at the same time and the creatures would have diffrent angles to them meaning a tesseract is inacurate. 2d and 4d both project onto 3d. we get a little of both. 

2d ( 3d ) 4d  turn at a 90 degree angle to fit i guess.3
