Can Turtles Take Off Their Shell?

One of the most defining features of a turtle is its shell. Like all animals, turtles come in a variety of shapes and sizes and this is also true for its shell as well. When you think of a turtle’s shell, what comes to mind is the probably the hard dome shaped shell of a box turtle or a tortoise. All turtles do have a shell but not all of them are the same.
