It's an incredible success, given the challenge of breeding pandas in captivity. The stations, both in Sichuan Province, introduced 36 of the new cubs to the public last week. Much work remains to raise the pandas to maturity, but the program has the benefit of many years of research in meeting the needs of these bears that symbolize both China and a commitment to conservation.
