Why does this happen? Stripes In Grass: EXPLAINED

Every now and then, a question pops into my head about something very ordinary that I can't explain. I always get excited when this happens because I know I'm about to learn something new about my world that I didn't understand before. This is often how I get inspired to create videos or write scripts. I get kind of overwhelmed with the need to answer my question, and when I figure it out I think it's so neat that I have to tell people about it or I'm just gonna explode. That's what happened the day I found out why lawn mowers create stripes in the grass, and that's why I made this video for you a couple years ago.
