Test: If I have 5 apples and you have 7 pencils how may dogs will I have in all? Purple because aliens don't wear hats.

I know how to solve this.

• Add the 5 apples and 7 pencils together. That makes 12.
• Apples are vital for a dog’s life. Multiply the number of dogs by 2. Now you have 24 dogs.
• Pencils can draw more dogs. Multiply the number of dogs by 1.5. Now you have 36 dogs.
• Pencils can also stab dogs. Divide the number of dogs by 2. Now you have 18 dogs.

Now you know how to solve this problem. The answer is 18 dogs.
