End of book 33
Once they got to their destination, Alex said “Steve, I’ll help you get to our location”
Alex then led Steve into the airport and said “Can you tell where we are yet?”
“Nope!”
“Good”
They made it to security before Steve realized where he was. He said “Oh my gosh! You’re taking me to peaceful mode to see all my old friends!”
Alex said “Maybe.”
Then Alex took the blindfold off and said “Do NOT look in your bag! I have your phone and headphones.”
Then security said “Steven Stonecutter!? Would you mind signing a few swords for my friends and family?”
Alex said “We got time.”
The security person dumped out a bunch of swords and handed Steve a pen. And Steve signed all of them. By the time he was done, Alex was very annoyed.
She rushed Steve to terminal M56 and sat him down.
Zuri said “Steve, do you want to know where we’re going?”
Steve said “Yeah.”
Alex said “Zuri, shut up! Surprise for him, remember?”
“Sorry”
“All good, no harm done.” When their flight was announced, Alex said “Come on.”
Steve said “They didn’t call our section.”
Alex sighed “Yes they did!”
Steve got up and got to his seat.
Alex got Steve’s headphones set up and plugged into the TV.
Steve then suddenly sat up and said “Who will care for Toast?!”
“Kathy. She said she’d do it for free.”
Steve then relaxed again and turned on his favorite movie; The greatest PvP fails.
Zuri tapped Steve’s shoulder and whispered “Hey, want to know where we’re going?”
“Not now. I’m watching something”
Alex said “Zuri! No!”
Then the plane took off.
Once it landed, it had been six hours. When Steve got up, he said “I just hope we’re going right to somewhere with beds so I can lay down because man am I in pain!”
Alex then grabbed Steve’s bag and her bag. And helped Steve off the plane.
When off, Steve saw all his friends from peaceful.
His friends said “Hello Steve! We’re so glad to see you again! Haven't seen you in over 60 years!”
“Feels like it’s been over 100!” and Steve and his friends laughed.
Steve said “Aww, guys. You seriously shouldn’t have done all this for little ol’ me!”
Alex said “And you haven’t even gotten to the best part!”
One of his friends said “Should we tell him?”
“No! I want him to be surprised when we get there.”
Steve stretched his back and said “Welp, let’s go!”
One of his friends said “Go on, we have your vehicle outside.”
Steve ran outside and found a huge limo waiting for him.
His friends all said “Surprise! We decided to go all out to see you! We had to combine all our money to afford this.”
Steve said “Guys, aren’t you riding with me?”
“Yeah”
Everyone climbed in.
One of Steve’s friends said “So, how did you and Alex meet?”
“Oh, that’s quite a tale. She entered my village a very long time ago. We did some things to make each other mad. Had a PvP battle. I won and then during the battle, I fell in love with her.:”
One of the friends said “Yeah We kept wanting to invite you to things but, never got your number.”
“Yeah. Sorry ‘bout that”
“All good.”
Alex said “While you are busy talking to your old friends, I’ll just think about how this whole thing would’ve been different if I had won the battle all those years ago.”
Steve’s friends said “Want us to tell him yet?”
“Nope!” said Alex
Steve said “Want to exchange numbers?”
“Yeah!”
All of them exchanged their numbers and laughed while they exchanged numbers.
Zuri then said “Guys? Do any of you have any kids for me to hang out with?”
All Steve’s friends looked at Zuri and said “We actually all have grandkids.”
Steve said “Yeah. I adopted these kids when I was in my mid 60s. These are my first kids. So, how did you meet your lovers?”
All his friends said “We were all invited to a party and well… we found our other.”
Zuri said “Steve, we’re almost there!”
Alex said “Zuri! Don’t lie to him!”
“Sorry”
Steve said “Aww, my little PvP legend, it’s all good.”
All Steve’s friends said “Oh, we forgot to ask, why haven’t you been in any big PvP games lately?”
Steve said “With my bad back?! I can just barely stand up right now.There is no way I'll be able to do an actual battle again!”
Zuri said “You still occasionally battle with me!”
“When was the last time?”
“Over a year ago.”
“Yeah! The reason I stopped was my back.”
All his friends said “Geex Steve, we can help you back. We know some back doctors to help you.”
“Forget it! There is no way I’ll pay someone to fix my back!”
Alex said “Steve! We brought you here to help you feel joy again. And maybe even cure your back pain. Just ask if any are near your village.”
His friends said “Welp, we know one. The problem is they’re not exactly cheap.”
Steve sighed and said “What’s the address?”
“3021 Lapis street”
“Oh. I pass by that place every time I go to the PvP council building.”
“Do you go there regularly?”
“Yeah. Now that Zuri’s a blossoming young legend, I have to let her gift flower.”
All Steve’s friends said “Can she do battles with us?”
“No!”
Zuri said “But, it will help me become more of a legend!”
Alex said “He said ‘no’!”
Zuri nodded and then the limo stopped.
The driver let them out and said “Have a good time!”
Alex said “Steve, cover your eyes!”
Steve covered his eyes and his friends led him to the beach.
Steve uncovered his eyes once told to.
He said “All this for little old me?”
Alex said “Yes. For the rest of the day, I’ll be in charge of the kids while you hang out with your old friends.”
Steve said “Aww Alex, thank you. You really didn’t have to do this for me.”
Alex said “Yeah. We wanted to make you feel extra special today”
Steve’s friends said “Tonight, when we get back to the house, we all got a little surprise for you!”
A few hours later, Alex came back with the kids all wet and covered in sand.
Alex said “Welp, that was fun. Don’t want to have to do it every day for a week. But, fun”
Steve said “Wait, we’re staying here for a whole week!?”
Alex said “Yes! That’s your big surprise!”
Steve’s friends said “Woah there! We’re not going to do this every day! Some days we’ll go to Steve’s old favorite amusement park.”
“You still remember?!”
“Yeah. You’re our bestie!”
Zuri said “Are we having dinner soon?”
Steve’s friends said “Everyone but us, please change in those changing room stations over there!”
Everyone rushed to the changing stations and Alex handed each of them a change of clothes.
Alex went in after Zuri was done.
Then everyone went to the beachside restaurant.
Steve said “Oh my gosh guys! You're treating me like a king! I wish I’d never moved away from you. Moving away from you was the worst mistake of my life!”
Noor said “What about when your villagers were-”
Alex said “Noor! Not now! Look how happy he is! Never thought I’d see him this happy. His smile is nearly worth the 100,000 diamonds this trip cost us”
Steve glanced at Alex and said “No big deal.” and continued laughing with friends.
One of Steve’s friends said “We're checking in for our 6:30 reservation.”
Steve’s group followed the hostess to their table.
Oce there, Steve said “Oh my gosh! Never thought I’d see her again! Hey Molly! Molly! Over here!”
One of Steve’s friends said “That’s not Molly. Molly moved to hard mode ages ago!”
“Oh. Sorry ‘bout that lady.”
The lady looked at Steve and said “No problem Steve!”
Then everyone ordered their drinks.
After their waiter left, Steve said “So, how good is the food here?”
“Oh it’s amazing! You’ll love it!”
Then the waiter came back with their drinks. And they ordered their food.
One of Steve’s friends said “So, how’s your life?”
“Meh”
Alex said “Steve,Sunny has to go to the restroom. Would you please watch the kids while I’m with her?”
Steve sighed and said “Okay”
Alex and Sunny left. As soon as they came back their meals came. Steve quickly ate his bacon burger and said “Today has almost been perfect.”
Steve’s friends said “After dinner, you can get the super expensive caramel sundae”
Then everyone got done.
All Steve’s kids were begging for dessert.
Steve’s friends said “Either ice cream or cake guys.”
Alex said “Guys, I’ll pay for it if you want it. You may have both cake and ice cream.”
Steve said “No thanks guys. I’m positively stuffed and couldn’t possibly eat another bite!”
His friends said “Okay. “
Alex then said “Eight caramel fudge sundaes with whipped cream and a cherry”
Steve sighed and said “Make that nine”
The waiter said “Steve!? You get the ultimate sundae for free. PvP legends discount took a lot off and it being your birthday took the rest off.”
“How big is the ultimate?”
“Oh A bowl about half the size of the table.”
Steve said “No way I'll be able to eat all that!”
“It’s not just for you, it’s made for a group of nine.”
Steve said “Sorry friends. I have to choose my family for this one.”
His friends said “No big problem! We will just eat the eight your family ordered”
“Thanks for understanding!”
Then the waiter left and then five minutes later cae back holdin a whole lot of ice cream.
Steve said “No need to embarrass me and sing.”
Then Steve and his family dug into the ice cream. Ten minutes later, they were done and Steve was so full he felt like he was going to burst.
Steve said “Yeah. I think I may have eaten a little bit too much.”
His friends then said “Alex? Can you help him to the car?”
“Yeah. Come on kids!”
Noor said “Steve, I don’t feel so good.”
Steve’s friends then quickly paid and left with Steve and his family.
Steve burped loudly and said “Excuse me.”
Noor then puked on the curb.
One of Steve’s friends said “No way we’re letting him in the limo when he’s puking!”
Alex said “Steve, you’ve got to decide. Friends or family.”
“I choose friends”
Noor then snuck in and everyone else climbed in.
One of Steve’s friends said “Steve, we told you don’t let Noor in here!”
“He just ate too much.”
They nodded and said “Okay. But, if he vomits again, we’re kicking all of you out on the streets!”
Steve said “Is our friendship still safe?”
“Yup.” and they arrived at the house where they’d been staying.
One of Steve’s friends said “Steve, cover your eyes”
Steve covered his eyes and when his friends told him to uncover them, he saw his favorite band: Jimmy and the Miners.
Steve said “Oh my gosh! How much did you spend on me for the trip?”
“That’s not important.”
Alex said “Actually Steve, one of them is friends with one of your friends. We’ve been planning this thing out for months! We wanted you to feel extra special. Here you go. And what’s better is…”
One of Steve’s friends said “Wait until they say it!”
Then the band started to perform. An hour and a half later, one of the members invited Steve on stage with them.
Another member said “Steve, you are hereby an honorary member of this band for life.”
Steve said “Are you serious?! Don’t toy with an old man’s heart!”
“We’re not being serious but you do get to preform your faveorite song by us with us!”
Steve said “Okay I pick The Bunny Song”
They all nodeed and one of them handed Stevethe microphone and said “Your friends tell us you know this song by heart.”
When the music started, Steve started to sing.
After the song, the band said “Great job Steve!”
Then Steve’s friends brought Steve some cake and said “Here you go”
Steve sat down with his friends and laughed at each other’s stories.
Noor then cut in mid-way through one of Steve’s friends storied=s and said “Steve, I want you to tell me a bedtime story tonight.”
Steve’s friend completed the story and then everyone went to bed.
The next day, Steve got breakfast in bed.
After breakfast they all went to a different beach then the day before.
Steve then said “Alex, watch the kids again for me.”
Alex said “Nope! This time, you’re in a professional beachside PvP game.”
“I'm too old for that kind of thing.”
“Too bad. The winner would get 100,000,000,000,000 diamonds”
Steve stretched his back and said “I could try.”
Alex handed over Steve’s sword and armor.
Steve equipped both and ran to the arena.
The person at the check in said “Steve? Go ahead, you're just on time!”
Steve ran in only to find only four others. When the battle was over, Steve had won and was in tremendous pain.
Steve rubbed his back as he exited.
Alex said “Steve, you want to go back to the house?”
Steve said “If my friends have nothing else planned for me.”
One of his friends said “Actually, Alex has set up an activity for all of us to do together. Your kids helped her too.”
“What is it?”
“Scavenger hunt.”
Alex gave everyone an identical list and said “Ready? GO!”
All the kids said “Can we please help Steve?”
“No. One of you each person.”
Zuri said “I want Steve!”
Alex put Zuri with Steve and Steve began.
Steve had completed his list after every one of his friends.
One of his friends said “Steve, sorry you lost. Now, we can go explore the water”
Alex said “Go on”
Steve said “Nope! I’m not capable of doing that anymore. Wish I could.”
Noor said “But, you have in the past!”
“When was the last time?”
“Two summers ago.”
“That’s right.”
“You thought you couldn’t do any more battles but, you did one earlier today!”
“I’m still in pain from that.”
Steve’s friends then said “What do you want for lunch?”
“Hamburger”
“Okay. We were just kidding about the whole swimming thing. Alex told us you hate that.”
About a half hour later, Steve was eating lunch. Halfway done, Noor threw a clump of sand at Steve hitting his face.
Steve brushed the sand off his face and completed his burger.
His friend then said “Ste
