I hate Lightspeed >:(

Question

I'm really upset.

Kidzsearch said they were making progress since KT was blocked for me almost 3 months ago. 3 months.

My activity has dipped, and I got in kicked off of the Top 10 users.

The website and app don't even load half the time!

I'm genuinely considering quitting, as thus is becoming a source of frustration.

Sorry this is such a short post,   I'm really tired right now T-T

Lightspeed is one of the only services still blocking us. They said it would "take some time" and they need to see more teachers asking to remove the global block. The reason is not related to games (what we do have is in a separate subdomain if schools don't want them), but a general concern they have because we are a portal with lots of features that could lead to getting to other websites. Since we are also a safe search engine, it does not make much sense to us.

Several teachers have already asked to be unblocked, but it apparently is not enough yet. Cool Math Games finally got unblocked by them after a Change.org petition got enough signatures, so maybe that is an option?

Okay, greatest idea right there, I should make something on Change.org and get a bunch of users to sign it :D

Also, thank you KS, this must also be frustrating on your side, and I share that frustration. Lightspeed isn't a very reliable filtering software either, as there are many malicious or inappropriate websites you can still access with it, but Kidzsearch is completely fine, and it is all blocked.

Tbh I agree with you because I was gonna listen on spotify but for some reason lightspeed blocked me.

My school has light speed and it's soooo annoying they keep blocking certain yt videos and it's so annoying especially for musical theater when we're trying to find a unblocked videos to use

Thankfully my Lightspeed filter hasn't blocked this website! (and hopefully wont)

Yeah lightspeed is INFURIATING, it doesn't block YouTube, yet it has to block ALL the videos. So just block YouTube in total!!!

I use ExtPrint3r on GitHub btw so if you ever get too bored, go on there
