Feel free to vent about something going on in your life, ik life sucks for a LOT of people right now (me included) and I feel like not a lot of people get the attention and support they need to deal with the mental health struggles that come with situations, so feel free to speak of whatever youd like :D

yes im gonna vent in my own safe space we listen and we dont judge

-i was sexually harassed for 2 years straight by the same girl who was considered my "friend" and everyone knew including teachers but nobody did anything about it because she normalized it. i asked her about it a year later and her response was "you were really mature and i was into it"

-religious trauma

-when i told my family i was suicidal some of the many responses i got "i guess your not as strong as i thought you were", "your life isnt even that hard", and i had a family member tell all our family friends

-when i was SH and starving myself not only i was threatened by a family member saying they were gonna send me to a mental hospital but they also tried force feeding me

-when i was 6 i watched family members be abused and was too scared to do anything

-my friend sent me and my gc a vid of them overdosing and said it was our faults (shes alive but like jeez man)

-on my moms side of the family my mom was almost never home so i had to watch my brother from the second i got home till i went to bed and had to miss out on 4 years of my childhood

-had to go to court and list the reasons why i shouldnt live with my mom (neglect, mental abuse, etc)

-was told by a family member to "stop acting autistic" because i was stimming

-not really a trauma but i used to have a severe problem trying to tell the difference between friendships and relationships and i fell in love with almost my entire friendgroup by accident

-toxic relationships

-family toxicness

-trust and severe abandonment issues

and thats all i can think of/wanna share for now, purposely trying not to say what family members

Life doesn't suck when you learn how to navigate it
by 🃏 Illusionist (12.7k points)
fair enough, felt it was necessary though to make this for people who cant/are struggling to navigate it
by 🌙 Enchanter (440k points)
@alpha

it can still suck :/
by
Not if you know how to navigate it.

The Lord has been guiding me ever since I gave my life to him and he's been a blessing to me.
by 🌙 Enchanter (440k points)
@alpha

life can still suck no matter how you navigate it
by
Incorrect. If you've been graciously saved by God and have learned how to view life, struggles, and temptation, life cannot suck no matter who or what tries to get in your way.
by 🌙 Enchanter (440k points)
@alpha

god isn't the only thing that can make ur life good
by
God is literally the one who created you and is the source of all good things. It's not possible to live a good, fulfilling life without him.

@alpha

ok I respect that you believe that but I don't share that belief! it's alright tho, I wasn't trying to upset u

It is wonderful that you found a way to navigate life through religion! However try to at least be aware and accepting of the fact maybe not all people can rely on religion. Some have religious trauma, believe in something else, or are still trying to figure themself out!

TL;DR

I’m going anonymous for this, because I’m would get in big trouble if my mother found out I talked about this on here.

A few months back(around 6-7 months) we found out that we where in a plural system and it took a good few months of in-depth researching to actually come to the turn that “oh, yeah I prolly have this”

So…we told out therapist, keeping it a secret from our family. But here’s the problem, my therapist wanted have one of my parents come in and we tell them.

And that’s what we did! I thought it went well, but turns out that when I got home—my parents talked it out and decided themselves, that not only do they not believe that we are a system, but ALSO that if we keep this up—there is to big of a risk to develop something “severe” (I forgot what it’s called. But only maybe 15% develop it, and then only it’s just the slightest bit) and that THEY decided that if I didn’t stop “finding comfort” in the plural system community; I would have to take medicine to make them go away.

Which, tell me how their thinking makes since.

1. You say you don’t believe us

2. Then you say that if we don’t work towards “repressing” these personality’s that we will develop a VARY VARY severe case of something (she said that I will basically have to have others feed me, and I won’t be able to find a job because I can’t do anything on my own) that is already EXTREMELY hard to get.

3. I will have to take medicine if I don’t stop.

After this conversation nother was brought up agian, except for the fact that I was going to a psychiatrist in a month, and I had to “get better” by then or I was going to HAVE to have medicine (for something that I haven’t officially been diagnosed with dumb)

Me and my therapist ‘pretended’ in a sort, to “repress these personality’s” and when it came to to visiting the psychiatrist, we actually got a really big win; and that he didn’t have any reason to prescribe medication, especially without an official diagnosis on this.

So ofc my mother got mad and in the car, said that he didn’t know what he was talking about and that we where going to get a second opinion with a psychologist (the only difference Is that a psychiatrist has gone to med school, and a psychologist hasn’t)

that brings us to present day ig

Ughhhh

I just don’t know WHAT to do.

And it’s just she’s so controlling to!

After we told her she blamed the internet (as we said earlier, we researched best we could on the internet are AFTER we started really realizing that their where other people  in this body. And it’s not like 2 or 3 more it’s over 50–which just made her even more suspicious that we where faking) and in turn blocked EVERYTHING on safari except this, which makes it really hard to work on my school (I’m homeschooled) because I need access to articles on things for my history book.

*sigh

Idk what to do…do you have any advice?

And no, we can confront her because she would pull the “I’m an adult so I know better/am smarter”

And yes, I know that personality’s change. ESPECIALLY when going through puberty—and our individual personalities in the system to change! It would be weird if everyone stayed the same.

But mother doesn’t seem to understand that we are actually smart.

She thinks we’re dumb/ on a lower level than her because we have diagnosed ADHD and Dyslexia (along with dysgraphia) and we suspect we probably have Autism too.

And do you know what she does to “help” us with pur ADHD/other diagnoses?

She tries to get us to act ‘normal’. We once had a friend who has Autism and is on the side of the spectrum where she has a hard time with social interactions, but we understood her, we knew what it was like!

But my mother basically had us ditch her because she didn’t want to understand that you can be friends without talking all the time. She thought it was weird, even tho the only reason WE are not like that is because we have to mask our ADHD.

It’s not explicitly stated, but oh—it is definitely implied that we have to act ‘normal’

Oh, and to top it all off, we mostly all boys/trans so when we told our mother she told us that we can’t tell anyone because my brothers will lose friends. We are also religious (if I said it would prolly reveal who I am on KT) and so I’s my older brother, and the only difference is that that core (“OG” personality) has a nature based religion, and my older brother is Christian.

Yet he is aloud to tell ppl and go to church, while I’m not and I’m not even aloud to wear a vail to co-op. shrugging

Oop, this is long.

I’ll stop now.

I probably wont get a reply back

*sigh.

oh my god thats a LOT to take in im sorry all thats happening

i can somewhat relate because i have to go to a psychiatrist for mental health problems, also i have severe problems with family members

but obviously nobody will understand what your going through fully but you

my best advice is when you reach the age of 16 you could go to court and file saying you dont want to live with them anymore, if you document everything going on and prove you are able to handle yourself you could live on your on

additionally i dont know how much this would help but depending on your situation what she does MAY (im not fully sure) count as a form of abuse, she could get in trouble for that

until then hopefully things get better, you guy are valid gang
by 🃏 Illusionist (12.7k points)
this is a check in, you still alive gang?
by

Yesss, sorry I got busy with things.

Tysm for responding:DD

I do think I’ll take it to the court and try and get approval to live alone at 16.(our body is 14 rn so only 2 more years) I write journals, but I think I might start one dedicated to this (our other ones have things we’ve admitted to relapsing on, and I think if I showed them the entirety of all that they might not approve of me to live alone)

On that last part, she’s never actually hit us or anything—just made sure that we knew we are a disappointment to her and should do better.

And we’ve always had access to food and such, in fact—we’re actually overweight! (We’re working getting fit, dw)

And we have told most of this to our therapist, but when we asked her if she thought our mom was a good mom—she said that mother is doing this because she ‘loves’ us.

But here’s smth that we’ve told no one (and I’m pretty sure I might get in trouble with my system mates for telling you this) is that we are pretty certain that she knows about our eating irregularities. (I’m not going into to much depth, but half of the time we binge eat food—but then we feel bad about so we try and stop eating a lot (mostly we just try to not eat over 600 kcalz) ) and this has been a repeated cycle for a bit now so there has been plenty of proof dotted around our phone for a while. And, additionally because of how often and what she does when going through our phone, she HAS to know smth is up. But she’s just let it be, idk if that’s because she doesn’t care, or she thinks it will do us good to lose some weight; but idk shrugging.

ye, I think I’ll end that there.

And ty again for listening to what I have to say; it’s not often at all that we are told that we are valid <3 (especially since only two ppl know and the one that is supposedly supportive-we only see them once every 3+ weeks)

so you don’t know how much this means to us heart

by 🃏 Illusionist (12.7k points)
I really hope things get better for you guys! Yall seem like really nice people and you guys deserve a lot better!

Awww your to sweet in_love

I hope you have a spectacular day <3

I would totally take you up on that offer if my parents ever allow me to get an acc! (I think I would actually be able to get an acc at 16, lol)

We really do hope you have an amazing life. your way to kind (make sure you treat yourself the same way <3)^-^ and I hope those problems with your family members get better >:3

-Dan(I’m the one who’s been fronting whilst writing these. I figured I might as well give you a name)
