Well I'm in choir and we are doing tryouts for solos and it is the final round. Now she has to pick between my friend and I. My friend has memorized the whole song already and she's really shy so I think it would be amazing to see her on stage! There is one problem though. She's really quiet and I don't think the crowd will hear her. This is my favorite solo and I have a clear voice. I think she'll get really mad at me if get it because it will her down and let down her chance to shine.

This is the last chance for tryouts and I've never gotten a solo yet what do I do?

You should each do your best and be happy for eachother if one of you gets the part. If she is a true friend, she will be happy for you. Also, being shy, it may not be best for her to get the part because she may get stage fright and like you said, the audience won't be able to hear her. Good luck!

I think you should go for it. It is good you want your friend to get a chance to shine, but if she is a true friend she will be happy for you! Good Luck!
