Some help please

Question

So you might know me as Fire Queen and I haven’t posted anything in SO long I just wanted to update you guys on my situation at home.

 

My Dad for starters says things to be like children should be seen and not herd, and also that he is allowed to decide my rights. My parents tell me they are not abusing me when the clearly are they refuse to prove to me that they are not and for the bonus points one of my friends came to my house to give me a birthday gift and my mom called her a darling and so sweet. She doesn’t even come close to what she said to my friend to what she says to me. If I say something to them they don’t like they’ll hit me. If I do something wrong my mom pulls my jaw side to side.

Ya so my situation is sm better honestly at this point I tell them not to do stuff like that ever bc if they do I won't hesitate to let someone know also they have become a lot more caring also teenage hormones also could be part of the factors and the fact that my ADHD causes emotional diregulation (ya my spelling sucks) but anyway just found this old acc and was reading my posts

It's not abuse. The majority of the time, parents do it for your own good. To help you be a better person. Real child abuse would be being hit on a constant basis, having stuff thrown at you really hard, being cut etc etc. Admittedly, the pulling of the jaw isn't ok, but otherwise its not abuse. I used to think like you, until I got a little older and I could see wht they were doign was for my own good.

That sounds horrible. All the advice I can give is too pray and always answer them with respect. 

Example.......

Move your butt and empty the dishwasher NOW!!!! (mom or dad)

Yes ma'am (you)

you have 5 minutes (mom or dad)

yes ma'am, I will set a timer and get it done (you)

 

If you reply with respect maybe they won't do what they are doing to you!
