Chapter Two
Maybe Amanda wasn't capable of cutting vegetables. But she had to be capable of many things; she worked at Loreboard, the special institution for disabled children. Now, Anthony didn't live at Loreboard. Genevieve has a certain request for Amanda to come to their house every time she had to look after her son, as his condition was so severe that it gave him anxiety to even step foot outside the house. Amanda was now a full time maid for their household, which was something not discussed by neither. It hadn't even been planned; it was one of those things in life that just happens.
Now, Amanda was having second thoughts on whether she was qualified enough to look after Anthony, as she had just accidentally cut herself while chopping up the peppers. Her thick, red blood came pouring out of her hand. "Lord help me," she found herself saying, destroyed from the pain. She ran through the house, looking for a bandage. If these kinds of things were happening Genevieve would have to write out an entire paper about the aquired information when running about the mansion. Finally, when the cut had deepened and has gotten worse, she found a drawer in the kitchen that has several first aid kit worthy supplies. (She really hadn't needed to run through the entire house after all.)
Miss Amanda squirted water on the cut, then wrapped a large bandage around it. The blood was still seeping through. "God, I really need to be more careful." She then heard some whimpering coming from Anthony 's bedroom.
"Anthony?"
No reply.
" Anthony, dear, please calm down. "
Still nothing.
Amanda decided to investigate. She stalked towards the bedroom, opening the door. Anthony lay in the floor, his face hot and his hands clenched in balls. "The....the stranger...."
Amanda wanted to help Anthony, but it was no use.
"What about him?" She knelt down to be at his level.
"He's here. Right here. With me. He said that he won't stop. He won't, Mistress, because he never lies. The stranger never lies. "
Amanda's blood went cold. "Is he saying anything else, Anthony?"
" Yes. "
