Features!

Question

I have an idea kidzsearch!

When a user gets 250,000 points, they should be able to get a feature. It's like an advice column but it's a top-level category that they can name whatever they want. Features would be very exclusive and the user gets their feature to post in. If the user gets inactive, their feature is deleted or converted into an advice column!

It's like this

Almost anyone can make a club if the topic is interesting

1,000 points get's you a blog

25,000 points get's you an advice column

250,000 points get's you a feature

1,000,000 points gives you a special feature.

 

The reason why there should be features is what is the point of earning more than 25,000 points if it doesn't get you any more privileges? This would motivate people to become more active and get more than 25,000 points.

We like the concept. What would be special about a feature? Perhaps having it named after you as a main category?

Yes! It is a main category. I think they would be really great. When you get 1000000 points, it upgrades to a special feature ranked even higher.

I feel like it would just encourage users to answer posts with things like “okay” and “cool” instead of actually helping them with their problem, genuinely congratulating them, or putting forth quality content. That’s just my view.

No, it would help make quality content because KS deletes those types of answers.
