Death was coming to take 3 grandchildren's grandfather. the eldest says,"wait come back in a month to take him!" a month later death is back, the middle child says,"No, come back in a year." year later, death is back. finally the youngest says,"Wait, come back when this candle's fire dies out." death leaves. and never comes back. 

How is this possible?
