If they hit you on the bum because you are misbehaving yes it is legal, if they are hitting you in other places for no reason it is illegal

If they are hitting you for no reason or hitting you hard enough to leave bruises, it is considered illegal. However, MY parents are strict so when I was younger and misbehaved I got one hard whooping (idk if I spelled that right) with the shoe that OCCASIONALLY left a small bruise. Some parents can just be very strict and harsh. If yours is like that, your just one of us unfortunate kids lol. If it’s like constantly leaving a bruise though, you may need to tell someone. Especially if you did nothing. I hope your okay!!

Absolutely not! If you misbehave, than it is legal. Not misbehaving, than that's a felony I say! It's against both the law and basic everyday etiquette to hurt a child who is 1: Defenseless, or 2: Not misbehaving. It seems you are a victim of child abuse. Find another adult you trust, or maybe a counselor. The police. Tell them what's happening. They'll have something to say.

Yes, it is. As long as it doesn't bruise or leave a mark, and as long as it has some reason (ie, you did something you weren't supposed to/misbehaving). If it's for no reason or hard enough to leave a mark, then that would cross the line into child abuse.
