A boy just confessed to me!

Question

Please help me! A boy in my class told me that he likes me today!!! But I don't like him back, so... yeah, he asked me to be his girlfriend, but I said that I'll think about it. Since I didn't know what else to say, and now I want to just tell him that I don't like him and reject him, but I don't want to be rude, how do I tell him? I'm afraid that no one will ever like me though later on in life... He isn't the one, right?

Aww, you are so lucky! What does your gut say? Just listen to that! But if you do say no, make sure you don't do it in front of a bunch of his friends :( But you don't really know him though, right? Get to know him first!

Also, I'm not really sure what he would do as a "boyfriend"- sure, dates under the slide are cool, but he couldn't really take you out, and nothing could ever get "serious." Oh, if your school has dances, go with him to that!!

Be your beautiful self! I just got back from a residential its like a place for kids with depression. Say "I'm sorry I'm not ready I am not trying to hurt you I am sad if I hurt you but ill help you find someone I'm just not ready but we can be friends!"

Well there really is no way to say it without making him sad (I speek from experience...). So the best way would be to (kindly) tell him.

Well. I don't think that at your age you need a boyfriend. Tell him, later on. You don't need a big rn so don't have a boy rn. All it will do is lead to broken friendships.

Okay, will do, but even if I say later on, won't he keep that in his head and if I don't get with him later on, won't he get depressed? I mean, he's not my type and everything... and I don't want to hurt his feelings. Wait, he probably will fall for another girl later on, right? I really hope so. I probably sound selfish, don't I?

#1, being depressed isnt the same as being sad, so a girl not liking him probably wont make him depressed.

#2, it actually is very possible for him to start liking another girl when he finds out you don't like him (again, I speak from experience...).
