I am going to put this message lightly to make it KS appropriate. 

 

On Wednesday, a 14 year old came to a school named Townville Elementary and shot 2 students and a teacher.

Townville Elementary is 20 minutes away from my school and home.

The teacher was airlifted to one hospital and the children were airlifted to another. 

The teacher who was shot in the shoulder and the child who was shot in the foot were let out the evening they went in the hospital.

The other child was shot in the leg and has been in critical care until this afternoon. This afternoon, Jacob passed away. Jacob was only in first grade.

The fact that this 14 year old had access to a gun and used it to kill a child is a completely unavoidable and should not ever happen again.

You can look this up. It's all true.

Please keep my community in your prayers and Jacob's family in your hearts for the rest of your life.

i did look it up. that... that... THATS JUST NOT RIGHT!!!i cannot belive a kid A 14 YEAR-OLD could be capable of something like that. WHY!!!! why would they even DO that!!!!

My town is only half and hour away from that school :'( so sad!!!!!!

I did hear about that! I'm very sorry for the whole situation!! Our world can be such a bad place to be in right now, just look at what's happening all around the world. :(

I do not go to Townville Elementary but I knew Jacob and my 3rd grade teacher teaches there now.

That's so sad. Why would a 14 year old even have a pistol??

We believe he stole it from his father. His father was also found dead at the family home and the gunman has been connected to this death as well

Probably because his DAD didnt follow state laws.

some state laws state that you  need to have a gun lock.

 

I own FIRE ARMS, under very strict rules though. They always stay in the parents room, never show my buddies without permission, ETC.

There is still some confusion the issue of how he gained the gun, but it is possible he picked a lock, but I'm not even sure that law applies in my community.
